You're right, @colinwil !!

I get this too - but only if I have the iCloud Download column visible in the display (the one that shows a little 'cloud' symbol). Both on my iMac (which isn't iCloud match enabled) and my Macbook Pro - which is.

In other words:

* I right-click the column header and check the iCloud Download entry. Scrolling is now a mess when I scroll with my Magic Mouse or my Trackpad. It seems to remember too many mouse movements so if I scroll up, then down then up again they don't cancel each other out, but instead play one after the other - almost as if a ghost is playing wit the scrollbars!

* If I right-click the column header and un-check the iCloud Download entry, the scrolling is back to normal. A bit laggy maybe - but it doesn't 'buffer up' all the movements

YOU'RE RIGHT!! I noticed it right after enabling iCloud (iTunes Match). So I tested your theory, and turned off the iCloud Download column in list view (with the little icon one) and it fixed the scrolling problem. Of course I need it on, so it doesn't solve the problem... but it certainly narrowed it down! Unfortunately there's no way to turn it off in "Album view" so I'm basically stuck with the problem until they fix it.

THANKS!!!

(Off to report it to Apple)

Cheers,
Jackson

Wow, nice find. If I remove the "iCloud Download" column, it goes away for me too.

Yep that did it for me as well, great find.

I also have a scrolling problem since updating to iTunes 10.5.2. My problem is that when scrolling, if i scroll quickly wi†h my Magic Mouse the whole library takes off at great speed in the last direction scrolled eventually coming to a standstill.
I just sit there watching my whole library whizz by.
It's a matter of clicking in the opposite direction to try and stop the scrolling and gently nudging until I reach my selection.

I don't know if it's a coincidence but I also subscribed to iTunes Match at the same time so I'm not too sure if the iCloud setup is helping or causing the problem.
Has anyone one else experienced this?

I've also sent a report to Apple.

Stop Press: I've since installed Better Touch Tool and wound the scrolling down to almost zero, it's now useable.

I installed 10.5.3 and it did not fix the scrolling bug. Still need to remove the "iCloud Download" from the column viewer and that removes the scrolling bug. If you haven't already, please go to www.apple.com/feedback

I'm having the same issue, with both my magic mouse and the trackpad on my Macbook Pro. Still present with 10.5.3 today too.

edit: Just noticed the iCloud column fix...thanks, worked well! I like having that column present though, hopefully this gets fixed.

GREAT TROUBLE SHOOTING AND FIND! It's been driving me crazy. Now, with the iCloud column off, I can scroll with my magic track pad on my MacPro and with two fingers, stop on a dime! Wow, so very happy! Scrolling through 19,000 songs with the iCloud column is a nightmare!

Looks like 10.6 has fixed the issue for me. I wouldn't call it perfect scrolling, but it's much better. Anyone else able to test?

Has anyone noticed since the update that scrolling is off in iTunes? I'm using the Magic Mouse and when I scroll up or down and change directions, the input takes a few seconds to go the other way. Never had this issue with iTunes before and tested on a lot of other programs and everything else works fine.

Anyone else?

Ummmmmm, Y'all are just having scrolling lags. I can't scroll at ALL. Nada. Never had this problem, and it's only since the new update. I'm not very fond of it at this point. I can't edit my playlists, AND I can't scroll? Again, its only with apple music. Nothing else. What do I do? I've pretty much tried everything. Mouse settings, mouse batteries, iTunes settings, computer restart, everything. I just don't get it.
