I was having this problem too. What I did was went into iTunes>Preferences>Advanced then reset the warnings and the cache. I closed iTunes and reopened it and it took care of the problem for me. Hope it helps!

Somebody reports problem has been resolved by iTune 9.2.1.
That is reported in Apple forum in Apple.com
I also resolved the problem after installing iTune9.2.1 once.

However, The problem has been occured again now!

I spoke too soon. It's back. Not all the time, just now and again, but those extra clicks are really irritating, specially as this has been going on for quite some time.

Does anyone keep getting that 'Out of date' error when trying to update apps? I tired of clicking through that as well!

There are a lot of unresolved problems with Apple software and hardware at the moment. Are they on a summer break or something? Nothing seems to get fixed!

I had this problem too. Some people on apple's support forums suggested changing the phone number to one that is associated with the credit card. That worked for me when I tried it so yeah.

Still having this issue. Keep hoping for a fix. Seems like this problem is on the server side.

I'm still getting the 5002 error as well and it's really annoying. I've had it for months now and nothing seems to fix it.

For me the "5002" error is now gone but the content has expired notice still shows up when downloading all free updates.
