Yeah FedEx sucks and has never let me create a home account. It always says my address is not correct even though it is one of the auto fill options.

I realize I have f’d up and not real happy about it. I always thought the tracking information was included from Apple as part of the trade-in kit via email. When I go to reprint label it is blank.

My wife thought she say we here FedEx scanned it but who freaking knows.

I’ll see what their customer service says.

Customer service has escalated this case and I should get a call back for resolution. They said this is happening a lot this year. I guess I'll see.

I just received an email that said I have to pay for my lost phone just now. I was told three weeks ago from an apple employee that it was ok and I had been credited for the lost phone. Now Im on the phone with them again trying to fix this out. I will probably never use Fed Ex again.

I've liked the IUP program, but this will be my last. It was convenient since I don't live near an Apple Store, but looks like it may be a headache now. I'll go back to local phone stores or BB or other just so I can deal in person.

I realized I made a mistake, but I also find it crazy that Apple made my return label and there is no record of that number anywhere. The Apple representative said they can only see the trade-in kit tracking to me, but that can't be correct. They made and created a return label so it is somewhere. Fedex says I have to contact Apple or the third party that created the label.

I have the same issue. Return a iPhone 12 mini with apples own FedEx shipping label, and It was suppose to be delivered on Oct 28. Tracking shows it made it to the local hub on the 28, but it’s been a week and it’s still there with a “Potential Delayed” message. I called FedEx which offer no solution and file a complaint with the BBB. Anyone got their’s delivered with a week’s delayed?

*Update*

I called Fedex today again and they said it never made it on the truck and have to file a claim since its past 10 days of due delivery date. Also contacted Apple and they requested a inquiry of the situation. I am sure my return was stolen by Fedex, I checked the imei # and it shows iCloud on. Anyone got a resolution to their lost/delayed return?

Update:

After talking with two separate Apple employees they finally sent my case to a supervisor. Last night I received an email that said Apple was sending me a new trade in box, which would do me no good because Fed Ex has had my phone for over a month.

This morning I received a email that says my trade in is complete so I guess my ordeal is over. Fed Ex tracking says they still have my phone but that’s not my worry anymore I guess. Good luck everyone.

I received my second trade-in tracking and I spoke to another representative yesterday. She said the investigation is still open and to not worry at this point. They’ll send an email and if the results say something other than closed then to start prepping for more discussion.

I did not expect this but, Apple refunded me within a week after I contacted them about my issue. ?

Sorry for the troubles OP. I sold a phone via Swappa about a year ago. The last tracking was " on vehicle and out for delivery". Never got to it's destination. The insurance claims process was also loaded with hoops and obstacles by FedEx. That was the last time I ever shipped a phone out. Never again.

When I drop mine off at a Kinkos/FedEx store, I get a receipt. Are you having these issues even with a receipt of sending it from the FedEx systems? Or do you have no receipt?

Apple closed my trade-in, so all good. I don’t know what they found or whatever, but good to go.
