It's been over a month, but I thought I'd share how I actually brought my 2012 15" MacBook Pro to Anthro New England 2022 for putting on my panel about 1990s kids' PC games!
I brought a MiniDisplay-to-HDMI adapter to hook it up to the video projector via Thunderbolt, and a spare set of PC speakers to improve the sound of the games I demonstrated on ScummVM, Boxer, and my Windows XP virtual machine on VMWare Fusion, and I also brought an older wireless Apple Mighty Mouse to use for the panel, as for some of the old games I find it easier to use a mouse than the trackpad (like the original 1993 MS-DOS version of "Richard Scarry's Busytown").
And yes, I only wore the fursuit head and gloves for the photoshoot there. (I still wore my COVID mask when presenting, though, since the convention did have a mask mandate in place.)
In other cases when computing at the con, I'd use my iPad or my M1 MacBook Air.
