We already know for a fact that there will be some sort of upgrade to iWork to support iCloud like they showed at WWDC. If history repeats itself the updates will be released on the same day as Mountain Lion.

it will be interesting to find out how Apple plans on tackling the little problem that those who install via physical disk and not the MAS, cannot update the software after upgrading to ML. As far as I can tell from using the DPs of ML, all updates are going through the MAS and not the traditional Apple Software Update.
This is a problem because whether I run Lion or and of the DPs of ML, if I install iWork from my disk, the MAS versions refuse to acknowledge that it's installed.

The updates download in the App Store App, but the mechanism is still the same as the old Software Update, meaning you don't have to log in to the store to get non-MAS updates. I had an old copy of iWork that was non-MAS and updates came in just fine under Mountain Lion, as did updates for an older copy of iLife.
