Have you seen these apps? They are one hell of a deal at $10 each. I'm buying all three, along with many other future iPad apps. These apps are what will make the iPad shine. They are also a quality bar to set for developers, as well as a show of pricing expectations for said quality.

I'm only planning to get Pages. At $9.99 for a fully functional word processing tool, it's close enough to free, in my opinion. I'll just pretend I dropped the ten bucks on a six-pack of microbrew, which I drank and then forgot about. Voila -- free app.
