Hm... Jailbreak means sluggish Ipad - and you know this how?

Can you expand on that a little?
I've never had my iPhone jailbroekn but am interested in doing it for the iPad and I don't know much about it.

If you are somewhat selective with what you download (once the jb is available), then you will be fine. It may take some tweaking to find your perfect set up, but I guarantee you it will be well worth the effort
Also, if you jailbreak your iPhone, you can turn it into a WiFi hotspot using MyWi ($10 app in Cydia). It will save you $130+$30/mo compared to buying a 3G iPad, and you won't be paying AT&T twice![]()
Nice - I like all of the features but do not want to end up with a sluggish pad.

There's nothing to expand on. This is a persistent lie spread by the uninformed.
And yet people jailbroke the iPhone and iPhone 3G. Do you remember how slow they were? People even saying that summerboard/winterboard didn't slow down their iPhone. Oh how I chuckled.![]()

Except, you know, it's not a lie. Depending on what you install on your iPhone, it definitely slows it down. Winterboard noticeably slowed my iPhone 3GS down. I also hated how it made my switching pages on the springboard not as smooth.
This would be the biggest reason for me to JB. Do you have any quick link to save me some times from Goggle'ing ?Constant video output through the VGA adapter.
Run Windows or OS X? Where are you coming up with that?
