I am debating on wither or not to jailbreak my Ipod 4th generation with iOS 4.2.1. I have a few questions

1. What is the best Jailbreaking software? I have heard of greenpoison but thats it...

2. If I jailbreak my ipod can it break the ipod?

3. If I jailbreak it, will I lose all of the save data on my apps? (this is big as I have games like infinity blade where it took me a long time to get where I am)

4. will it pose any risk to me if I have all my email and everything signed in?

5. Is this illegal?

Thank you for helping me and I would like an answer from someone who has an eyewitness account of it, thanks!

1) redsn0w is also available.
2) yes, but that's the worst case scenario. You can usually restore or DFU it back.
3) no
4) no
5) jailbreaking itself isn't, but the apps you get through Cydia might be (such as Installous)
