I'm using zepplin on 9.3.3 without any issues. buggy sometimes, but a respring will fix it.

I've never had any issues with Zepplin; works fine on 9.3.3

Just for the sake of being thorough lol... I installed MyWi 9 even though it says it's not compatible with my iOS version (9.3.3). Well, the wifi part of MyWi is working. The USB tether didn't.

Look for "6god" in Cydia (without the quote marks). Thar's what I use and I like it.

'Course, he based it on mine, but since he kept it free, that's okay with me. For some reason, though, he left out the original silver 3D Apple logo on black background respring. I still have it in my Dropbox, if you want it.

Confirm you have iconbundles installed.

No. There's a tweak that patches the issue for now with some libstatusbar tweaks, it's called libmoorecon. It's on http://www.tateu.net/repo

It's a genuine hassle, yet the only way I got this tweak to show up after downloading it was to reboot my iPhone.

But rebooting loses the jailbreak. I mean I can use the app to re-jailbreak but wouldn't it still be missing at that point?

No, once you use the app to get back into a jailbroken state the Cydia app will appear and is then available for use.
