So, if I understand, your assuming you know how he came to the conclusion above?
No, you don't understand. I
do know where he got the information above, because, as dhlizard says, I and many others spend some time keeping up on these things. The point of my post and thelatinist's is that
you will almost certainly not see anything based on a new exploit until the next HW/SW revision. This is not some random wild new speculation; it has always been part of the strategy of the various hackers who work on jailbreaks.
Note that this says
nothing about the existence of a new exploit, only that
if one exists, the community will wait to do anything with it publicly until Apple can't plug the hole in a new phone and/or OS. I'm really not sure why this is so difficult for you to understand, or why you're so angry at people pointing out something that is really quite simple.
Anyways - there are so many people saying different things. Too many people saying anything out their A55 without even knowing the facts.
The reason people like you are confused is because you appear to have no ability to distinguish noise from good information. The fact that you seem unfamiliar with the idea that no tools based on a new exploit would be released until the next HW/SW revision suggests that you're not looking in the right places for your information. There are solutions here besides treating everything with equal skepticism and then throwing your hands up in the air because "It's all so confusing!"
You don't even have to take my or thelatinist's or dhlizard's word for it; I encourage you to go check out the official communications channels (hint: the Dev Team blog > commenters in random forums), and if these sources say anything that contradicts what's been said here, please come back and let us know. I prefer to have accurate information than simply basking in the feeling that I'm right all the time, so I really do like to hear when I'm mistaken about things.
I appreciate everyone's input - Im out of this thread!
You clearly don't appreciate anyone's input, and dhlizard is right that this kind of reaction is going to make it hard for you to get helpful input in the future.
