Wow, nice. Any idea of when it ships?

Since the Up came out they're getting quite a lot of pressure on their facebook page to give a firm ship date. They state that the announcement is coming very soon. I would expect we would know within a couple of days when it ships at least. It's been available for preorder for a good month at least now, so I would hope it won't ship long after the announcement

As long as you are waiting, go ahead and add this to your list. Looks to do some things a bit differently...

Wow that one sure is pretty! A non-negotiable feature for me, though, is the sleep tracking and silent alarm (vibrates and wakes you up at the optimal time). There's no mention of that on the website, I wonder if it will do that?
The techcrunch article states they will be running on indiegogo on Oct 29, but I can find no mention of them on that website. Has the campaign run yet, or are they running late?

just a question about Jawbone UP2 and FitBit One. Do they also offers local app (no data in cloud and forced to create web account)?

I've had both and prefer the Fitbit One.

Re: the sleep function - my wife and I both had the Jawbone UP and found that no matter when we set the alarm, it would consistently wake us up 25 minutes earlier than set. Didn't seem very "smart" to me. Maybe we both just happen to stir and get restless about 25 minutes before our alarm goes off, but it bugged me. It didn't ever wake me up at the targeted time or in the 30 minutes after.

So it just didn't seem smart to me. Seemed to just trigger at the slightest movement inside the "window." If I wanted to get up 30 minutes early, I'd set my alarm 30 minutes earlier.

I MUCH prefer the Fitbit so that it wakes me up exactly when I want it to and I don't have to wonder or play guessing games with the alarm-setting.

The other thing I prefer about the fitbit is the form factor. I like just keeping it in my pocket. Plus - it tracks cardio much better on ellipticals and treadmills that way where I tend to hold my hands stationary. With the UP - my stationary hands wouldn't register my cardio work so I'd have to either stick it in my sock or pocket or something goofy like that.

Plus - the band is supposed to be warn on your left hand (if you are right-hand dominate) to not register unnecessary activity (like writing, etc), but I can't do that because I wear a watch.

Anyway - just some thoughts off the top of my head...

Yeah, I think you just checked off most of my worries with the UP. I'm actually debating which to get as a X-Mas gift for my Mum (she's a fitness nut and has used the cheap, $7 pedometers for years), but will get myself one afterwards. The UP was appealing at first but then when I thought about having to wear it all the time and plug it in to sync...meh, I think the Fitbit sounds more appealing now. Just plop it in mah pocket.

I've decided to hold off on getting either of these for a while to see what reviews come out on both products.

The campaign on the Amiigo is WELL over funded!! I put money in for one. We'll see how it plays out in real life when it's released. Looks like a lot of promise and I like that the developers are opening up to hackers/others via API. Sweet.

Yeah. I'd get it, but it doesn't do sleep tracking or (most importantly for me) the silent alarm.
I tried the Lark Life, but it was so big and ugly!
Right now I'm waiting for the Up to be in stock in my country/colour. It's hard to find in Canada. Each time I go to an Apple store they're sold out (and I don't go often, it's too far).

Sorry for the topic bump--but I've pretty much decided to go with the FitBit One.

My reasoning is:
- Decided that I actually hate wearing anything on my wrist; so even though there's some cool wrist trackers, I would get annoyed with it. Especially at night.

- FitBit has a better online UI and app IMO.

- Bluetooth syncing. (Especially since I have a case so I'd have to take the case off my iPhone each time I wanted to sync the Jawbone)

- *May* track more accurately since it would be on my belt/pocket and not tracking wrist movement.

- Tracks flights of stairs. However, I've heard this doesn't work so well. (we'll see.)

Anyone else make a decision?
