JB 3.1.2 now about 1% battery down per minute

How were you able to downgrade? Is it because you didn't use blackra1n?

correct. I have been jailbroke since 3.0 and have waiting patiently for the next JB

Update: it has been about 24 hours, not really much done, mostly standby and I am only at 80%. Did about 25-30 minutes of internet/gaming. So it was def something to do with the 3.1.2 JB (if not the entire software). Not sure what it was but i am back to being perfectly happy with my iphone.

My battery life after upgrading to 3.1.2 has not been that bad. It is still over 50% after a days usage of usual texting etc but I wake up to find that it's around 30%. It plays catch up with the phone I think but I don't see any difference. I used Pwnage Tool to upgrade my iPhone.

Just to follow up on my earlier post....It's been a few days and my 3G's battery life actually seems a little better since upgrading. It's good to hear you figured out a way to keep your battery from the excessive drain it was doing before. Good luck!

What do you mean waiting patiently for the next jb? I thought blackrain was the next jb.

Does blackrain make it to where you can't downgrade firmware?

When the next one of whatever comes out will I be able to downgrade?

If I restored and rejailbroke with pwnage tool or redsnow or whatever could I downgrade or did blackrain just eff me

your screwed as of now. when you upgraded to 3.1.2 you upgraded your baseband. Blackra1n does not undo this. So in turn you can't down grade.

Do a google search for "iphone dev team" and read the post about pwnage tool there. It may explain what you can/can't do.
