Wait...wait...

This is JESSICA ALBA we're talking about here!

One of the world's most important and greatest...ah...

...something something very beautiful woman ;)

Anyways, I don't think using celebrities to advertise tech is very effective. Didn't the same thing happen with Blackberry? Nicki Minaj did a concert to help promote BB then walked off of the stage and picked up her iPhone

If not for the article I don't think anyone would have noticed. It's hardly what I would call a blow.

Exactly. I really can't say who she is or what she has done as far as acting but this is too funny anyways. I have never seen one person using a Windows phone but then, I rarely see people using iPhones anymore. At my job, it's all Android.

Honestly I do not know who Jessica Alba is, nor do I care to look her up.

If you fancy a pretty lass, it could be worth it. If not, don't bother. :p

I just love all the iGoons that make it their duty in life to come into the "iOS Alternatives" section to post anything and everything pro-Apple that they can just to make themselves feel better.

Seriously, a paid advertiser is different than one who doesn't get paid to support a product. If you think advertising for a company means that you only use/wear/support that company, you have absolutely NO IDEA how business works.

Tom Brady was used in Dodge Dart commercials, are you naive enough to believe he drives around with his Victoria's Secret super-model girlfriend in one?! Sofia Vergara is in Pepsi commercials, you think she only drinks Pepsi all day (or ever)? Are you mad or do you ignore common sense and refuse to take anything at other than face value? Ignorance truly is bliss, I suppose. :(

And I always look to Jessica Alba to direct my life decisions...

I know this seems dumb, but we are not average cell phone users. Just being on a forum of a site dedicated to technology means you aren't the target demographic they're aiming for with Jessica Alba.

Not dumb at all...you point is valid and well taken.

My point was that I think it is rather sad if ANYONE cares what phone Jessica Alba uses...a reader of this Forum, or actual normal people...:p ;)

(So I don't offend anybody...that "actual normal people" crack was a joke, a jest...just kidding.:D)

She has been paid for an endorsement of Windows Phone - this is her business.
She is using iPhone in her everyday life - this is her personal life.

The question why she is not using Windows Phone anymore can have thousands of reasons, it's just not about how wonderful Apple products are and everything else is a bull*it ...

99% of celebs seem to use Apple products. They've just done an excellent job of marketing their products as high class, attractive and easy to use. No one else is really close in this regard

Celebs are people too. Let them have the freedoms we all enjoy to choose their phone of choice.

Won't you please think of the celebs, being ensnared into using a product for money. :(

As much as companies like to believe so, it's naive to think endorsement deals are a one hundred percent reflection of the personal opinions of celebrities. I suspect many endorsements are nothing more than business deals, where money is the overriding motive for the endorsing party.

Suspect!?

Only SUSPECT!?

Source, please.

...and why is this important?

Go on Twitter and look at where most celebrities send their tweets from. Most come from an iPhone.

And who said this was supposed to be important? There's nothing important about any of this crap. But anyone with eyes can see that celebrities prefer to use Apple products (particularly with phones) vs any other brand. Alba using an iPhone rather than the phone she was temporarily endorsing is not surprising at all

Your personal observation of "celebrity" behavior on Twitter does not constitute a supportive source for the "99%" assertion.

You are guessing that "celebrities" use iPhones more than any other brand, as you do not know the habits of all "celebrities"...and your sample is not a statistically derived representative sample.

We need a definition of "celebrity", too.

Ergo, you have no idea what kind of phones 99% of celebrities use.

Having eyes is irrelevant.

 :D

I don't base my purchases on the preference of celebrities, or any other people. When I jumped from iOS to Windows Phone, it wasn't because Jessica Alba had a Windows Phone, it was because I thought it looked fresh and exciting.

If you lack the cognition to recognize what blatant exaggerations are and have to resort to semantics just so you have something to post, you should probably just not start at all.

I dunno, somewhere in West Texas
I mean So.... Why should we care what a celebrity who was given a free phone but is now no longer contracted to a company chooses to buy a different phone. So a rich celebrity has bought an iPhone ? and ? should anyone here care ? Do you really think anyone who has bought a lumia handset is going to go give up their phone just because Jessica Alba has ? Seriously ?

Does anyone make life decisions based on what an over paid celebrity does ? If they do - have pity for THEM not Microsoft[\b] .

Millions do this on a daily basis. I mean really it would be nice to if we could assume the entire buying public is even keeled and can make a command decision based on their own abilities but you would be foolish to neglect all the naive, gullible, people that are so easily ready to please, or buy impulsively. That's the majority voice and clearly anyone can see that Alba has done more harm to that brand name than she has done good.
