I'm wearing the brown loop for those "dress up" occasions (which is most of the time for me) when the band matches my outfit. Is it as comfortable as the sport band? No way. Not in my opinion, anyway. I'm super impressed with the comfort of the sport band. But the leather loop looks great, and if you wear it properly it's comfortable, for me. The discomfort and 'clicking' noises I read about is mostly due to the band being too tight. I see lots of photos of people wearing their watch so tight it looks like the hand is getting squeezed off.

I love my black leather loop. I bought as an extra strap a black sports band, but returned it because the sports band was very uncomfortable for me. I have very hairy arm and wrist, and rubber and metal bands usually hurt while on my wrist because it catches the hair and rubs it too much. Plus I can never get the buckle just right, either it is too lose or too tight. The leather loop is very comfortable, but does require a couple a time a day a few adjustment do to the weather, especially when it is really hot outside. It is not a big deal. Everyone has there own opinion, and I take it with a grain of salt. That is why there are so many types if band's. As for the quality of the band, it doesn't look like plastic to me at all. It is more of an optical illusion because the leather is not flat, the leather is broken into strips. Look close at the leather and it is dull not shiny.

I just purchased a black loop at local Apple Store. Much more comfortable than my sport on my 42ss. So much easier to put on is an added bonus. Geez I should make a hipster YouTube video ;)

As a IT tech guy I find his reviews to be honest and generally true. I will probably eventually get a LL but I do find my sports band to work just fine for me and will get a few other colors in the near future.
