Well I have finally purchased my new desktop. I’ve been using my 16 M1 Pro in clamshell mode for a year. I really didn’t want to do that, but I made do with what I had.

I finally was able to have the money to buy this. I doubled the internal storage to 2TB. I wanted the 4TB version but realized I probably don’t need that and save 500-600.00.

I think I should be plenty good for the next couple years easily. Although I would’ve been nice to have the 7GB per second SSD.

Just thought I’d share this information:)
Thats exactly what I picked up two months ago. Nice machine, I like how quick it starts up. I will need to retain my iMac Pro to run a couple pieces of software that does not have Apple silicon versions.

I'd be interested in hearing your opinion on the Studio vs MB Pro 16 M1? Can you really see / appreciate a speed difference?
Ok so I forgot about this thread. I actually traded my 16 for a 14 pro. It’s way better for being portable. I don’t see any real differences to be honest. I’m sure the studio will be better if i did hardcore work like 8K video editing. But, they both are great.

That’s why I stuck with the base model with bigger SSD.
