Besides the MagSafe circle, everything else stays the same
Hoping Apple will release the iPhone 4 style bumper though.

The staff told me that the case has 1 year warranty, I don‘t know if the previous cases had warranty or not though

UPDATE:

That circle MagSafe circle has magnets in it,
I used my Magic Keyboard case to test and the iPhone 12 case didn’t drop

I LOVE the Product Red color SOOO much, but I just can't deal with the 'patina.' They look like crap in 2 weeks time. Hope you have better luck than I did.

I also ordered the Apple Silicon Case online for my new iPhone 12 Pro. Should arrive mid next week.

Short question: if I don't like the case, does Apple charge me for the return shipping label (or do they offer free online return)? I can always go to a store but it's a bit of a drive for me. So online return would be more convenient.

...on another note, what is the drop resistance of the Apple silicone cases? I had good experience with Speck products but of course Apple cases look nicer and have the MacSafe integrated.

i am not too sure about these magnets.
i have never been too keen to have them around my electronic gadgets for fear of interference, erasure and distortions caused by the magnetic field

based on the images on the apple website and the video it seems the new silicone cases no longer "hug" the phone when you have to "tip" the phone to get it into the case. it seems the magnet does 100% of the job of holding the case on and the phone just "drops in." that's very different from the last 14 years and i'm very curious how it will work, the case is clearly thinner in overlap on the sides, apple.com shows that the tiniest bit of the antenna band should actually be seen all around the front of the phone!

That was my suspicion in that the case fit itself would be looser compensated by the magnet holding it in place. Not sure how I feel about that. I am glad actually that the Pro Max has a later launch so I can read about actual feedback of this whole MagSafe system and how practical it really is. It would have been nice if they offered cases without the magnets but I guess if your Apple, they figure people will buy whatever they sell and charge an additional $10 bucks over a typical silicone case to have some small magnets.

As pointed out in the other thread we are also now going to have to deal with 2 handed detachment of the phone from the charger as opposed to just effortlessly doing so with one hand.

More now like you are just inserting a charging cable and defying the whole wireless charging principle.

I hope they do leather for the 12/12 Pro 6.1 as I don’t like how much dust sticks to silicone cases, also I struggle to get them out of my pockets.

Looks great though OP.

Interested to see if the case stands proud of the screen, more so with a glass protector. I like a bit of a protective lip on my cases.

What store was this from? Is this is store? Don’t think my Apple store has it yet in stock

I'm also anxious to see if a magsafe case has any real advantages to daily use. Sure it's easier to put on but the cases cost a lot more and most of us typically don't take our cases off very often, so the advantages of a magnetic attachment are unclear to me.

Seeing this, and the kumquat from someone else, the photos of the cases show much brighter colors than the products themselves. Very disappointing. But as long as the owners like them, that’s all that matters! Hope you like yours! 😊

I purchased it online and it provided same day pick up, so I just ordered it and went out to pick up right after

Weird didn’t give me that option I’m assuming not all Apple stores have that option as of yet

I swap my case almost every week 🤭😝
