everytime I’ve bought either silicone or leather they only last couple months then start going black starting at the corners.
Cheaper to just go through several spigens clear

Just picked up a plum case and a MagSafe case from local Apple store - ready for Friday! Haven’t taken either out of the box yet though...

That red looks quite dull in those photos - I'd be disappointed if that's what it looks like IRL as I was hoping for a red that really pops, similar to the picture of the inside of the case.

Would you say that the photos give an accurate indication of the colour?

based on the images on the apple website and the video it seems the new silicone cases no longer "hug" the phone when you have to "tip" the phone to get it into the case. it seems the magnet does 100% of the job of holding the case on and the phone just "drops in." that's very different from the last 14 years and i'm very curious how it will work, the case is clearly thinner in overlap on the sides, apple.com shows that the tiniest bit of the antenna band should actually be seen all around the front of the phone!
I'm also anxious to see if a magsafe case has any real advantages to daily use. Sure it's easier to put on but the cases cost a lot more and most of us typically don't take our cases off very often, so the advantages of a magnetic attachment are unclear to me.

This is actually a desirable trait for me. I usually go caseless but like the idea of snapping on a case whenever I feel I might need one, like taking my dog for a walk. Having it just snap on and have it easily removed is exactly what I had hoped from MagSafe. My previous fluoroelastomer case developed cracks because I removed it so often.

I swap my case almost every week 🤭😝

Multiple times a day, here. 😆
