Resolved Just did a Geekbench test on my 2011 MBP 2.2GHz, and... *UPDATE* (PROBLEM SOLVED)

If ur computer is still working just fine, I don't see a reason for u too. U shouldn't take these scores too serious.
For some reason it is annoying to me that I only get the 10000+ score when my MBP is plugged, but everything is working fine.
I don't know if this is good enough reason for trip to the Apple Store. I do have until Sunday (when my 14 days return policy is up) to think about it. I just find it odd that everyone is getting the 10000+ score even when there MBPs aren't plugged, and I keep getting 7000-8000.
Just take this week to think about it, see if your computer is still working fine, and if u have any issues, just take it to the Apple Store over the weekend.

Doofus. Of course it is lower if not plugged in. It's not using the discrete 1gb gfx card. That is why your score will always be lower.
Plugged or unplugged, the MBP is always using the 1gb card, unless u choose not to.

the dedicated card is only used if OpenGL or OpenCL is called.
Ouch, I was going to get an 8gb upgrade kit from them. Ater hearing this, I'm not so sure anymore..
I am seeing the same thing with my 2011 2.3Ghz 15" Macbook Pro. 32-bit Geekbench scores around 10500 plugged in and 8800 unplugged with 8GB of Crucial memory. I just don't understand how this is caused by the ram. I put the stock 4gb of ram and still see a difference in scores, although not as much.
9813 score here.
full disclosure: I have Fidelia open playing a FLAC song, Chrome open to about 35 tabs, Adium open in a conversation, Mail open, and Reeder open. I even heard Fidelia skipping the song during the test.
