isn't it a powerbook she was using? anyway its sad to see her just throw the mac like its worthless:D

Actually, you know what? It could be a powerbook. For some reason I thought the powerbooks looked different (without the speakers on the side of the keyboard).

do u think they feature macs because of their futuristic looks compared to typical pc's or is it because apple paid for them to be showed?

at least in 24, dells are also "featured" during mission briefings...i doubt the usage of it in 24 is paid for, because the apple on the LCD screen (MBP) is barely visible with all the studio lights.

from what i noticed, at least on csi, the screens are simulated so i think they could easily use macbooks. i think dells are paid for.

Ben stiller had a powerbook in dodgeball and got pizza on it lol. Netflix uses an ibook in on of their commercials, a couple yellow pages commercial uses powerbooks. in the movie unbreakable with Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson, Samuels character has 2 Power Macs both had dual screens.

in ads at least they use PBs and MBPs because even though unique looking ,cover the apple logo and it looks like a generic laptop,

Every Computer in "The Devil Wears Prada" is a macintosh! The secretaries have Mac pros with cinema displays! Also, they use their iSights to check their makeup instead of a mirror!! I think 'The Devil' Also uses a 12" Powerbook.

i agree and i do think apple paid for the product placements. i don't mind though 'cause they're gorgeous computers.

It wasn't. read the earlier posts.

Dang! Should've paid more attention.

As somebody mentioned, I wonder if apple pays them to use macs in 24, as the OS is simulated anyhow. It's like some weird high tech "terminal style" OS, unless it really exists?

J.D in the TV show Scrubs has a MPB

They also have one or two iMac G4's where the receptionists are, but they put a hospital sticker over the Apple logo!

Oh, and on one of those NetFlix commercials where all the characters are in one room, the main guy is using an iBook.

I also see a lot of ACD's in commercials.

you will see mac's in most tv shows and movies because apple does not require them to pay money to put there computers in the movies. Most other companies do.

I doubt apple paid for it. The apple logo is extremely subtle (can be barely seen with the reflection of the studio lights...the dells on the other hand are much easier to see cause of the LCD's front bezel design)...unless they're going for that kind of advertisement. It wasnt blatant like Sony Ericsson in 007. Literally all communications devices in that movie were SE..it almost got annoying. Not to mention the bank of Blu-Ray disc players in the security room (007).

We've had lots of threads on this topic before. And Macs have become so prevalent in media today that these threads don't serve much of a purpose. We all see Macs every day on TV and there's no need for us to continue to list each and every one each time this thread pops up.
