Just got a $9000+ MP 12 core Xeon - Need To Order Memory ASAP. Advice Please!

Wow, I'm enjoying this thread.

At first I thought maybe the OP was just a guy with the ability to buy lots of stuff but who's not very good at putting things delicately. Then came the part about driving a Saab. A Saab, Ha Ha.

Most likely OWC sells RAM to Saab owners too.
 
Maybe with the $150 you save by buying low quality memory you can buy a spell checker.

Nah, he paid full price not just for the 5D3, but for those primes, the Redrock micro setup, and of course that great, great field monitor. Oh, and the CF cards, too. Twelve grand easy.

He kind of fell down on the 16 gig CF cards, though. I picked up a 1000x 32 gig one for $140. 16G for $320? Nah. But maybe his are designer cards. Yeah, that's it. Mine's just a crappy old gold-colored Lexar. I got it! His are gold-plated, and signed by Clark Rockefeller.

If I were thinking up lies to post, I'd have gone with the D800 so I could add a hugely-expensive HDMI recording setup -- you know, taking the D800's uncompressed HDMI output into something from BlackMagic. That might add a few bucks to the mix.

You haven't been to North Korea, then. Did you get a K5000 GPU for your Mac Pro? Also as others have said I would go for OWC if I were you and 3x16GB is good.
 
So googled him what am I looking for? I want to see his work. Where is it at?
 
I'm glad you went for the 12 core, you're gonna need as much rendering power you can get to successfully use Warp Stabiliser on your videos!
