Nym said:You complain about 8 day shipping? I live in Europe (Portugal to be precise) and the new imac's still havent arrived in this whole country! LOL! And I reserved a standard 24" model, imagine if it was a BTO
By the looks of it I think by the time they get here, the updated iMacs and Leopard will already be available, eheh, geez, I shouldn't have thought that, it may come true oh the wait...
MBHockey said:You'll likely receive it MUCH earlier than when the original estimate says. I ordered my 24" on a Saturday (BTO 2.33/500gb/7600/2GB) and i had it 9:30 AM on that Thursday. It shipped from Shanghai. I love it, and i'm sure you will too!

Rychiar said:do all of u have the evil humm noise? I'm on my second one and its even worse than the first one
MBHockey said:I've got to stick my ear to the case in a silent environment to hear the hum when the brightness is reduced, it is not worth sending it in for me i never even notice it. Plus, with SuperCal i can now comfortably use my iMac on full brightness all the time
MBHockey said:It's a ColorSync profile creator to better calibrate your display.

It's just that with the default color profiles, the gamma is way too high for the highest brightness, which is what i didn't like about my bright display. Now it's bright, but with less gamma and it's gorgeous.
nice. glad it worked for you.Latino4Me said:Apple has been doing some amazing tricks with shipping. I ordered iMac 24" CTO w/ 2.33Ghz processor and GeForce 7600GT on 9/28/06 with standard free shipping. It gave me an estimate of shippment to be on 10/04/06 and delivery by 10/12/06. To my surprise and exctitment I got my iMac on 10/3/06 by 10am shipped from Shanghai via FedEx. I think they bumped it up for free. Most folks have been getting iMac way ahead of estimates.
Machine is amazing replacing my PB 17", only wish Core2 Duo Extreme was an option LOL
