You complain about 8 day shipping? :D I live in Europe (Portugal to be precise) and the new imac's still havent arrived in this whole country! LOL! And I reserved a standard 24" model, imagine if it was a BTO
By the looks of it I think by the time they get here, the updated iMacs and Leopard will already be available, eheh, geez, I shouldn't have thought that, it may come true :( oh the wait...

Apple has been doing some amazing tricks with shipping. I ordered iMac 24" CTO w/ 2.33Ghz processor and GeForce 7600GT on 9/28/06 with standard free shipping. It gave me an estimate of shippment to be on 10/04/06 and delivery by 10/12/06. To my surprise and exctitment I got my iMac on 10/3/06 by 10am shipped from Shanghai via FedEx. I think they bumped it up for free. Most folks have been getting iMac way ahead of estimates.
Machine is amazing replacing my PB 17", only wish Core2 Duo Extreme was an option :)LOL

Currently:iMac 24", 2.33Ghz, 1GB RAM, GeForce 7600GT w/256MB, MyBook Pro 500GB HDD, EyeTV Hybrid, 15GB iPod 3G

You'll likely receive it MUCH earlier than when the original estimate says. I ordered my 24" on a Saturday (BTO 2.33/500gb/7600/2GB) and i had it 9:30 AM on that Thursday. It shipped from Shanghai. I love it, and i'm sure you will too!

In Korea, a relative hop and a skip from Shanghai, we can't even do the BTO. Everything is stock only...even the Macpro! Korea = Mac Wasteland

Congrats on the new 24"er.

I've got to stick my ear to the case in a silent environment to hear the hum when the brightness is reduced, it is not worth sending it in for me i never even notice it. Plus, with SuperCal i can now comfortably use my iMac on full brightness all the time

nice. glad it worked for you.

I completely agree with you. wish apple would use the core 2 extreme in imac. or introduce a midsized tower which does. something less expensive than mac pro, but without a screen.

but u gotta pay for it

Yes. It is well worth the $19. I have calibrated every display i've owned with it.

I spend more money on the bars down town in a night.

From the developer's site:

SuperCal is distributed as shareware. This means that you are encouraged to download and try out SuperCal for free, then if you find it useful and want to continue using it, you are bound by the honor system to register your copy.

A single user license for SuperCal costs $19. You can register your copy of SuperCal via Kagi at the Secure Online Ordering Page. If your browser doesn't support secure connections (SSL), you can use the alternate Online Ordering Page.
So why should you register SuperCal if you can download it and use it for free? Because your financial support encourages us to answer your questions, fix bugs and develope newer, better versions of SuperCal. And in the long run, it encourages us to keep producing low-cost, high-quality software. You may think shareware authors won't notice if one user doesn't register his/her copy, but if everyone thinks like that, authors don't get paid for their time and effort and end up abandoning their software projects. So, if you find SuperCal useful and continue to use it, please support shareware by registering your copy.
