Thank-you. Problem fixed. It was my Citrix Receiver that removed my notch. A reboot fixed everything. Hopefully Citrix fixes this bug ASAP...
Great news! Tim Cook was about to call in a Board meeting to handle the situation. "How the hell did he managed to get hold of a MacBook Pro without a notch?"

OP asks:
"Just got my MacBook Pro 16... Where is the notch?"

Did you by chance receive one of the new, "notchless" version B's ...?

Select System Settings-Appearance-then select Appearance LIGHT you will see the NOTCH. Assume you are on Ventura 13.0.1 (like I am).

I had the same problem on my Macbook Pro 16" M1, although not related to Citrix, and was able to solve it by changing the resolution forth and back:

Settings --> Display --> Advanced --> Tick on "Show resolutions as a list" --> Done --> Change to a different resolution and then back

I have it, but the screen at the level of the notch is not enabled.
Or it's just you have a wallpaper that hides that menu bar in the middle -- just change your wallpaper.

edit:
Ahh, I see, it was a full screen app changing the resolution of the screen, sorry.

I had a similar problem. It turns out that it is an aspect ratio issue depending on your chosen resolution. Try changing to a different resolution
