Santa brought me a new MBP for christmas, i just wanted to let you guys know that i joined the ranks of Mac owners!! LOVIN IT! Updating everything now and about to install the OS update DVD :)

Congratulations! Your MBP will give you all the power, portability, stability, security, and features you have ever wanted and needed.

YAY for MBP!

No new presents for me till the 7th of January. That is when most Orthodox Christians celebrate Christmas. We are on the Julian calendar.

I am posting from my new MBP as well. I got the 17" for Christmas... this thing is HUUUUGE. I love it so far, though.

Geez, you have some generous gift givers.. Anyways, welcome to the Mac world, you'll never look back

*crys* No MB/P for me this christmas. Although I did get $350 and $70 in Gamestop giftcards and $20 in Barns & Noble's giftcards. I am hoping to get a Wii soon, then a Blackbook/Low end MBP. :)

October is what I heard.

Certainly not in the northern winter.

But he's now got the rough end of the stick - Birthday and Christmas on the same day means the relos cheap out on the presents. Sooo many "Happy Birthday/Merry Christmas" cards for little Jebus.

When you update ( I assume its the uptodate Leopard DVD), remember to do a clean install - you won't face reliability issues then.

Definitely, with 512MB of RAM in my iBook a clean install made it ridiculously faster than it was after an upgrade.

Now after Christmas with 1.25GB of RAM.... :D:D

For you pagans, heretics and heathens it's all about the calendar system used in the early Church. :)

Go to
http://www.catholicintl.com/catholicissues/scriptural-chronologies1.htm
to understand why December 25 is the birthday of our Lord.

As I tell heretics and heathens you will believe in God, unfortunately when it's too late and you are being judged. :(

Ok, and I assume you believe in the fiction that is 'original sin' - even though in the Tanakh states that 'the children should not be punished for the sins of their parents'.

Well i just got done with some Christmas stuff and now i'm back to my laptop. I ended up re-installing the OSX with a CLEAN install instead of just an upgrade after reading the post. Thanks for the tip guys ;)

It only came with 2 gbs of ram. I'm ordering some more tom. Which of these should i get?

So far i really like it tho. Just trying to find applications I would like etc. I'm moving to LA for film school and this plus FCP 2 Studio will be like heaven. I'll be sure to keep checkin in on this site! Hope you all had a Christmas as good as mine!

Mushkin is a great brand but instead of that 4gb 'mac memory' get Mushkin's regular laptop DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) 4gb (2x2) RAM, cheaper and still 100% compatible.
