one question though, I got one of these Ipod shuffles with it, and I plugged it into my airport express.

its blinking amber.

its to my understanding that its supposed to be amber while charging.

but what I've noticed is that its blinking.

is this because I have it plugged into my airport express?

or is it ok to be blinking.

In your head.
I wondered about that. See link at the bottom.

The LED code is really easy. There is a wallet sized card that came with the stinky iPod Shuffle packaging. Generaly the yellow blinking LED means that it is connected or is attempting to connect. (Unless your pausing your shuffle.) Because it never mounts onto a computer, you should be able to use your Express as a charger.

The Airport Express isn't supposed to recognize anything other than USB printers, a digital (optical) audio connection or a standard mini audio jack.
It's clear you charge your Shuffle with the AirPortExpress, but it shouldn't mount.

What's interesting is the my Shuffle won't charge from a Zip Link USB power cable, but everything else USB will.
