I feel much the same about Safari on MacOS as I do about "whatever-it's-called" on Windows.

Bitdefender extensions definitely crash Safari in Monterey Beta 5 and Beta 6. I found that the only way to use Safari is to disable ALL extensions using "defaults write com.apple.Safari ExtensionsEnabled 0" in Terminal.

When I uninstall Bitdefender, I can use Safari with extensions, and there is no doubt in my mind that the Bitdefender extensions are NOT compatible with Safari in Beta 5 and Beta 6.

If only there was a way to install Bitdefender WITHOUT the extensions - or remove the extensions in Safari, not just disable them...

I uninstalled Bitdefender as I do not know anything about removing extensions. Problem solved! I guess I'll keep the program off until the upgrade.
I did the same on my Mac and the problem is gone. I will be looking for alternative security software in the future. Thanks for the great suggestion

All is sorted out in the latest Monterey Beta (21A5522h), and now Safari runs fine with all the three BitDefender extensions running (Anti-tracker Engine, Anti-tracker Icon, and TrafficLight).
