I got my iPad 8 days ago and I am still in love with it. I love the way I can n ow surf the web, check my e-mails and view my media (photos and movies). It isn't perfect but most of its issues can be solved by software updates. The thing I love in particular on the iPad is it's mobility. I can take it anywhere when I am at home. I can use it on the couch, on the bed, even in the kitchen! The keyboard is great when used in landscape mode, and the built in apps are very good. I particularly love Safari, Youtube and the ipod app. Mail and Calendar look nice but could be much better. Mail doesn't have the option to mark a message for follow up. It also doesn't have the option to attach files to a message. Sending photos per email is done through the Photos app, which is really nice.

There are also many 3rd party apps out there, but the last weeks we dont see that many good apps. I am sure that will change eventually. There are apps for almost everything and games that take advantage of the larger screen estate.

What I would like to see in the future is an iPhoto app, file sharing, printing and a better calendar. I have also read that Pocket Informant for iPad was sent to Apple for approval and it will be available in the next days.

Overall I am really happy with my ipad so far and I enjoy a great device that really changed the way I interact with the Internet.

Love my iPad and so glad I pulled the trigger on the purchase. I was on a two-week travel jag for work and decided to forgo dragging the laptop. Saved me all kinds of space/baggage issues at the airport/on planes and was multipurpose at work as well without having to flip open a notebook. I know that sounds petty ("Damn...lifting the lid on this notebook is killing me..." - not really) but it was low profile and a lot easier to negotiate in a small space. I'm hard pressed to find flaw in a device that is so easy to carry and use and does exactly what I need.

A Love Love/Hate Story

To tell you the truth, I loved it when I received it, I hated it for the first two days, then I loved it again more than ever. And love it more every day, as I discover new ways to use it.

I got the 64GB WiFi+3G because of the AGPS and also because it's better to have it and use it when needed than needing it and don't have it all.

If you are going to spend the bucks, just do it right; get the best you can buy, and you won't regret it later.

+1

On a plane especially. Even a 13" laptop can be a challenge when the guy in front of you has their seat all the way back. You find yourself typing with your elbows pushed all the way back and your fingers too far forward on the keyboard. Kind of like if a T-REX and his little arms had to use a laptop.

The iPad resolves all of that, but of course, its not great for work. But I'm usually in leisure mode when flying anyway.
