Just Ordered MacBook Pro!

I finally got around to ordering my MacBook Pro!
Its estimated to ship out 18-23 of July and is expected to be here the 20th to the 30th of July. Does anyone think this is a bit long? Like, I order expidite shipping but its the shipping out that's the problem. I didn't customize anything on it, do you think its possible that it ships out earlier? I got the 2.2 GHz, 15 inch MacBook Pro (the lower end one).
I need to have it by August, let's hope it ships by then!
 
If you ordered the stock configuration, then you should have it by August. It's the customizations that are taking so long to come through.
 
I ordered the 15inch 2.4GHz with the 160GB Drive@7200rpm on June 30th.

Ships by: Jul 12 - Jul 17
Delivers by: Jul 16 - Jul 23

Out of curiosity I called apple to ask if these days were reasonable and the dude said they were. Reading these boards leave me feeling like I won’t be seeing my Mac till August though.

Ordered my basic 15" MBP on June 29th. Shipped last night. Will be here by Thursday!

Wow, thanks. Mine was ordered June 30th and my signature reads the delivery schedule for it, yours shipping last night makes me hopeful that mine may ship tomorrow even though I did option for the glossy screen.:confused:

Ya it's funny how much little options can alter the shipment. I wish you a speedy delivery!
 
I ordered a 2.2 MBP (my first mac!) standard config but glossy screen (so I guess it's still considered CTO):

Ahh, this will be my first Mac too.:D

BUT

Yeah, I ordered the same exact thing 4 days earlier than you, glossy seems to be taking the full estimated times:confused:.

I guess mine will ship and deliver a little faster than yours.
 
Hi! I ordered my MBP too!!!! I am trilled about this Mac. Can't wait to get my hands on it!!! I can hardly sleep!

Anyway I ordered it on June 19th (that's 3 weeks ago) and it's not arrived yet! I can't believe it! I have access to the education discount as i am a University student and my seller said that with that promotion, it takes a little longer. I am so tired of waiting!

So my seller is receiving orders on Tuesdays. Which means that i get my MBP (and my free iPod nano!) tomorrow... :D or only next week. :mad:

Just know that i reallly can understand the pain of waiting!!!!

My replacement order went in on June 29 as well. But my order status still says not shipped :mad: Although the time windows I was given was for couple of days later - Ships by: Jul 11 - Jul 16, Delivers by: Jul 13 - Jul 19.

I have the 2.4 Glossy 7200 rpm on order, so may be that explains the slight delay.

Most likely. It's difficult to get a comparison of delivery speed since you basically need to compare the exact computer and options.

i ordered my stock 2.4 ghz 15" MBP on the june 30th and it gave me shipping dates between the 10th and the 12th and delivery dates between the 12th and the 18th. i'm praying that it ships tomorrow.:eek:

Are you based in the UK? I have the same ship dates and I ordered on the 5th June....
 
i ordered a mbp on July 7th

expected shipping on July 18th
supposed to arrive here on July 24/25

i hope this is true because it's long enough allready

I ordered my 7200, 15" matte on the 5th of June with the same estimated shipping dates as you, but nothing yet. Way too long a wait especially when you know that others have received the same computer you ordered, but they ordered theirs after you.
 
well this morning i went to check on the status of my delivery and surprisingly it was already on route to my house :). i am typing on it right now :). from china to me in ~2 days is awesome. FedEx4Life hehe.

oh and btw- samsung panel and no yellow on the bottom 1/3 if anyone is curious.

i just ordered my 2.2 MBP w/ the expedited shipping cause i'm impatient.
