I have all 3 iPads, mini 4, pro 10.5 and pro 12.9. All have their uses. As for the mini, I take to the office every day and use it to read the news.

I currently still use the ipad mini 2. Its slowly dying. The home button doesnt work anymore. And it isnt as speedy as it used to be. I Love the size tho. Fits right in my cargo pants pocket, so i dont even need a backpack when im out and about. I would love an ipad mini pro, so i can use the apple pencil with it. The mini is about the size of my portable sketchbook. It'd be perfect.

Ideally, i'd love an ipad mini pro for travelling, and a 12.9" ipad pro for use at home. But since it looks like Apple isn't going to update the mini anytime soon(perhaps even discontinuing it)...i may split the difference and just get the 10.5" ipad pro for now.

I have an Air 2 but recently bought an 8" Galaxy Tab S2. On a trip I just went on I used the S2 exclusively on the airplanes because the size was so much more convenient. I'll probably leave the Air 2 at home on my next trip.

Would be best to keep both, despite seeming like a strange concept (probably because it’s quite new). But with the iPad mini being essentially half the size of the iPad Pro you have, it makes sense.

Me too. I have a Moko case for mine from Amazon. Super thin and light and super inexpensive.

Moko makes excellent cases - I must have have a dozen for different devices. I have two different Moko cases for my Tab S2 and find I like the heavier case with the hand strap inside the front cover - makes the tablet easier to hold with one hand.

I think mine a Moko. Doesn't have any markings but a great case. It's dark here so forgive these quick pics.

Do you guys use a case on your mini's?
I bought the Apple silicone case and Smart Cover with my Mini 4 when new and they’re both holding up amazingly well. The iPad is like new (except for the rear camera module going bad outside of warranty, which isn’t too big a deal as I always have my iPhone with me) and the case is in superb shape.

I actively use a 12.9 Pro and a 9.7 Air 2, and I actually quite like combo. The Air 2 is used for tasks like browsing and doing mail in bed or while I eat (and as a secondary display when I draw), the Pro is for drawing, writing, working, making music. The Pro is sort of like a more flexible laptop to me, the Air 2 a more traditional tablet. A 10.5/Mini combo would probably be much the same for me (I'd use the Mini for ebook reading, most likely).

So i bought 10.5 iPad Pro last week after realizing i seriously need an upgrade in size from my mini 4. The iPP has been great! it is big, but not too big that it lose it's purpose for me.

I'm struggling with a decision though; whether to keep my mini 4 in addition to my 10.5 iPP? I had planned on selling the mini BEFORE my new ipad arrived in the mail, now i'm not sure.

Do you have any other bigger iPads and why have you kept the mini?

I currently have my iPhone 6SE, the 10.5 iPP and the mini 4.

If it's for financial purposes like (you're getting poor) you can sell your iPad Mini 4. But if you are rich enough you can give it to someone that wants an iPad Mini 4 if one of your family deserved it (student for example). iPad Mini 4 is such a Fantastic device especially for both Middle school and college students, even for work because it is so portable. (not too big, not too small).

I have the iPad Pro 9.7 with the pencil and an iPad Mini, I mostly use the Mini. As I carry a laptop for work if want to do any serious work tasks I use the laptop, and iPad is for reading and catching up on feeds, maybe even simple sketching. The sketching is where I’m conflicted, I’d like to use the pencil but carrying round both a laptop and a full sized iPad seems silly and anyway I prefer the Mini.

I’m actually debating this myself. I work in child protective services. I have 2 9.7 pros, one for daily use and another for work. I love them both and they do everything I need them to do. However I think a mini 4 would be great for the field for low priority calls rather than the 9.7 which can get to be a bit heavy and bulky. Also I’m tempted cause I think the mini 4 is perfect as an e-reader and would be easier to use in bed than the 9.7 pro which can be a bit bulky at times
