Do you think Ken is a Mac user? :) I mean, anybody that smart, yet cool, has to be a Mac user.

And yep, the rumors are that Ken is still at it strong, even though they've finished all the tapings for the season. He'll be back for the fall tapings, even! Heck, one rumor even said he was 40 episodes strong when he left off. (Bloody heck. )

Not that we believe silly rumors. But if he's a Mac user, definitely. :D

I'm always amazed at the amount of trivia some people are able to remember. It always reminds me of a teacher that called it "mental garbage."

i personally think this changing the rules thing was a good thing for jeopardy. and it is doing essentially what a few of you think it is doing, giving publicityand probably higher ratings. i know, for one that i have watched about 5 or 6 shows just t watch ken in amazement. before this, i woulndt be caught dead on a weekday night watching jeopardy (nothing against jeopardy watchers, its just not my kind of show). n e wase now i find it vey interesting and enjoy watching ken win. its fun.

I never used to watch Jeopardy, but tonite I watched the whole show. Shameful, I know.

Ken won again, but he didn't know the word spim (spam sent as instant messages), even though he's a software engineer! But I liked his joke that he should have done more drinking in college so he'd be better at the cocktail questions, so I'll forgive him.

I spotted another error tonite. One of the answers was in the "Tail" category and was something like this: The biggest one of these is at the Georgia-Florida football game. The guy on the right (Michael) said "tailgating party" and they gave him the points. I think tailgating means following too closely while driving, while what you have before a football game is a tailgate party. Right? If so, the judges should have ruled him wrong.

and he wins again.. 17 in a row is pretty impressive. I wonder how much longer he'll be on. Must not be much fun for the other two contestants!

He won the 18th show too, but he easily could have lost. I was nervous for him!

I never go to them but living in a University area I get a lot of "Are you going tailgating?" questions. I think it's acceptable to say tailgating. I think the whole concept is stupid but... :)

That's amazing that he's been on this long. I watched a couple weeks ago, but I may have to watch again. This guy is unbelievable.

I'm sure that it is helping the ratings for Jeopardy! though, as I first heard about this guy on the news or some news site.

if he writes questions for NAQT as more than volunteer work, he doesn't actually have a wife... seriously. I did NAQT competitions in high school, and with only two exceptions (one of whom used to play on our school's team), all of the question writers i met were single, and not likely to alter their status in that respect.

I know Ken, and his wife is definitely real.

I think Jo-Jo is a joke.

JoJo Savard is a well known psychic from Québec (shame on us) and that guy wanted to make a prediction. He only has one post total so I dont give him much credibility.

As for SPIM, I never heard of it and I dont think its a common word yet as much as spam, and probably never will be (hopefully). My guess is that someone invented that word hoping to enter history while the word SPAM already included any forms of unsolicited communication. Even text messages on cellphone are called SPAM.

FWIW one of my friends lives in a suburb of Indianapolis named Westfield. Anyway, a neighbor of his just filmed an episode of Jeopardy! three weeks ago and, according to her, she lost to Ken. She said that the episode doesn't air until September.

Seems like an unrealistically long run, but I guess we will see. I absolutely trust the person that gave me this information, but, well, I don't know the source, so I'll believe it when I see it.

That's my $0.02 worth.

Assuming that you meant guarantee, and not some word which closely resembles the word guarantee but means the exact opposite, you were 100% wrong.

I dont doubt it one bit. That dude is a machine!

Poor Jeopardy, they're going to go bankrupt! :)

Maybe Ken will write one of those "memory expert" books and make even more money when this whole Jeopardy thing is over...

.

Jeopardy is making tons of loot from this too. It doesn't matter if he is winning the 30 g's a day or someone else is. Jeopardy would have to pay it anyway. However, I know alot of people are watching this and they can up the advertising dollars during that time spot.
