Does somebody know if the GTX Titan works fine in Windows UEFI? It woks fine in my HS and Mojave. I know it boots to Windows because I can hear the sound also I can power it down by pressing twice the power button, but there is no output on the monitor. Do I need to install the Nvidia driver beforehand?

Did you removed the AMD drivers before? DDU?

If all you are is missing a driver in windows just let windows hang out on black screen while connected to the internet for a bit. It will download nvidia basic display drivers from windows. Then press your power button once to shut down windows natively (no need to hold in to force shut down). On reboot you should be in business.

Not sure how this would work if you’re in the midst of a driver conflict however. Best of luck!

I wish I could to headless connection, but I doubt it without video driver. I might have to uninstall AMD control panel and re-check.

Any Kepler GPU supported by Apple NVIDIA native drivers, from 640 GT to TITAN. Some GTX 750Ti has problems with native drivers.

Flash yourself are just GTX 680 and GTX 780 model A.

No AMD GPUs for 2008 Mac Pros.
Hi Tsialex!
Can I identify the GTX 780 model A?
Thank!

I can't say for sure how you can identify one, I had one briefly around 2014 or 2015. Try to search for someone who still has one, maybe someone knows how to correctly identify one and can help you.

Simple ... 2 ways -

a. Run Techpowerup GPU-Z in Windows and check revision field - see screenshot.
b. Remove the heatsink of the graphics card, wipe off the thermal compound and the revision should be printed on the GPU ie. GK110-300-A1 for A and GK110-300-B1 for B

MVC still offers that flashing service for $100 US: http://www.macvidcards.com/store/p81/Nvidia_Flashing_Services.html Since his TITAN ROM is for an EVGA 06G-P4-2790-KR (at least when I sent him my two cards), that’s probably the best model of card to send him for flashing.

I have never gotten him to respond to any emails I sent him, even when I had a problem with this flash job (I later sent him a different card which worked fine). I would not interpret a lack of email response from him as meaning anything.

It's a belated response to the question @startergo asked @tsialex but my recent research on the Quadro K6000 indicates that GTX Titan *Black* and GTX TITAN Z don't work natively in Mojave because Kepler cards with the GK110B variant (as opposed to the fully compatible GK110) because Apple never used this "pre-maxwell" Kepler variant in any hardware releases.

Highest and best was the GTX 780 discrete GPU option in the Late 2013 iMac (which gets full Apple NVIDIA driver support all the way through until maOS Catalina).

Tagged @Macschrauber for reply. He has got K6000 working with a boot screen through OC.

iMac 27" late-2013 has a GTX 780M, a GK104 variant with 4GB of DDR5.

Interesting to know and completely correct (once again) on the GTX 780M..
Does that mean ALL GK110B variants work fine in Mojave, Alex?

Can't say that, NVIDIA did a lot of variants and some TESLA versions don't even have video outputs.

GTX 780 and 780Ti models (3GB and 6GB) work fine, had one GTX 780Ti 6GB model for some time.

TITAN Black compatibility problems are usually caused by binary blobs installed by old web drivers versions inside the NVRAM volume that need to be removed via reconstruction of the Mac Pro firmware, after that the GPU works fine with Apple native NVIDIA drivers. Took some time and effort to track this problem.

K6000 are reported to work, but I never tested one.

Hi. Thanks for all you insight. Lots of reading brought me here. I want to clarify the language here. Does "Natively" mean that once I get enough power to my Titan black, it'll boot up and give me a boot screen, boot picker will work, I can boot into Recovery mode, and all this with the drivers that were installed when I upgraded to Mojave? No need for Open Core, etc...?
Thanks

Natively as work with macOS without any hacks since it's a fully supported GPU by Apple native NVIDIA drivers, Recovery also works, but no pre-boot configuration support at all.
