Looking at purchasing one from that site. How difficult was it to install the skin? Good quality? Are you concerned the skin will cause damage to the exterior of the folio that will be apparent if/when it’s removed?https://www.decalgirl.com/
This should point you in the right direction. The keyboard folio works really well but the exterior is not high quality and quite frankly does not feel like an Apple product. I've found mine is showing wear and tear a bit as well. However, putting a skin on it makes a world of difference and it looks a lot nicer.

Great to hear. Thanks!I’d say it’s very good quality. I went through 2 or 3 skins before settling on one and when I removed them there was no damage.
I got the smart keyboard folio for the new 11" iPad pro about one month ago. It is already seriously worn at one point, see picture. It's right in the middle on top edge. This is where I put my thumb when I pick up the iPad 90% of the time. It's almost like my thumb has made an indentation, or made the outside plastic loose. As far as I know, nothing else has damaged the keyboard folio; and I didn't have chemicals or grease on my thumb. Come on. The keyboard folio should be able to withstand one month of picking it up! What can I do? I have AppleCare+, but it doesn't cover the keyboard folio. The keyboard folio should still be under ordinary warranty, and this is certainly no ordinary wear, but it's hard to prove that nothing else happened. Anybody else seen anything like this?
It’s absurd that Apple’s cover needs its own cover. It would be funny if it weren’t so symptomatic of the new Apple: poorly designed products not meant to be used by real humans.

If you have an Apple store nearby, take it in and explain what’s happened. Just be honest and polite and they’ll likely exchange it for you.
If for some reason you don’t get anywhere with the first person you speak with, politely ask to speak to a manager.
It happens to all of the Apple Folio’s. The quality of the 2018 Pro cases is trash. I’ve had Apple replace mine every couple months once the rippling starts.Verizon is delivering my replacements for my 11" and 12.9" today. I won't re-buy them again. I hope I don't have this issue again. I have the smart folio for both my 11" and 12.9" and do not have any quality issues with them at all.
Stopped by a local apple store today to see if I can get a replacement and the employee went to go check with his manager and they said it was cosmetic and they would not replace it since Apple has not acknowledged that the wrinkles are a known defect. For those that successfully managed to get a replacement do you have any suggestions or insight as to how you got yours replaced?
Same thing happened to me last week. They told me it was normal wear and tear on my 8 month old iPad 11 keyboard. That is crazy, as none of my others did that. For $200, they should be replacing as it looks ancient. Very sad on Apple's part....
I have an appointment at the with a genius tomorrow. My folio case is completely falling apart. When you add in the front and fold it to the back the silicone sticks so that when you try to close the lid it holes on the silicon and it’s all coming way when you add in the front and fold it to the back the silicone sticks so that you have to peel the front off the back of the case and it’s all coming away
Apple ended up finally replacing mine.
LOL - you are so right. I sure hope the next gen are much better. I tried the Brydge and really liked it, but ended up returning it. I don't need two keybords and the Apple one was already paid for.
I posted my experience with the genius today in the hardware section as when I went in for my appointment today, I also reported some issues that I’ve been having with an unresponsive screen though admittedly the problem had gone away for the last few weeks. Anyway the genius in my local Apple Store did a diagnostic check on my iPad and said it was faulty and agreed that the issues with the folio should not happen. People are finding this difficult to believe on this site but the genius has ordered a replacement iPad and a replacement folio case and both will be here on Wednesday. I do not have apple care plus. I think that people have different experiences with Apple support and I’ve been lucky this time. Anyway I should be picking up my new iPad and a new folio case at the end of the week. I will let you know if it’s anything any different. I’m expecting an email confirming the replacements from Apple although the genius did say that it may be a couple days before I receive the email as it’s a bank holiday Monday in the UKI wish you the best of luck with getting a free replacement. You have lots of company regarding these kinds of issues with this Apple product. What a hassle!
Agreed, the material used for the folio & keyboard is trash. Any drop of moisture starts the wrinkling. Tri folding the folio causes rippling in the corners as well. I’ve since purchased 3rd party ones after replacing the Apple ones multiple times once the rippling starts.A month since I received my replacement and the same thing is happening again. Sad, that for an expensive keyboard that has such a short life. Apple needs to get its act together on this one....
