I am glad we share the same view, i.e. the MacBook keyboard problem exists.
Noone questioned in this thread that the problem is not new. It exists since the birth of this device.
I agree with you "EVERYTHING tech is subject to possible problems", which if exist users better take notice of it instead of finding excuses.

my only point is... it's not a problem for everyone, just a problem for those having the problem. and it's not happening on a 'samsung phone explodes' scale. so many people on these forums (or any forums) think that, because they have an issue, we all have the issue. and rant and rage accordingly...

ha, brilliant. an apple service guy told you this. 30%. he got this number from? a panicked meeting at apple? an interoffice memo? and if the number was really this high, why is this not a major tech news story? IF he really told you that, that still doesn't make it fact. and facts are far more valuable than speculation, rumors, or guesses.... etc.
what the hell is your problem dude the OP never claimed this was a universal issue
who cares about statistics -- OP had to return two laptops for the same issue, they are rightfully peeved.

my problem is someone claiming that an apple person gave him such information. 30%? but i'd be peeved too if i went thru what the OP went thru. am sympathetic to that experience, but have no patience for imaginary facts...

Why so defensive fisherking? One would think you work for Apple, but they would never employ these tactics in the forum boards. At least not in the Jobs days anyways..

whatever you think of my opinion, it's hardly defensive. am just skeptical about people throwing around questionable info as 'fact'. anyway... some people are having issues with their keyboards; i get it. and i hope they get their issues resolved.
