I definitely prefer the keyboard on the MacBook to the MacBook Pro.

I don't think the MBP keyboard "feals cheep (sic)" though.

Based on what? According to your sig, you don't actually own either....

Just wondering....

I don't own a MBP; but that doesn't mean I can't compare the two.

Just because she doesn't own them; what's to say she hasn't used them?

I didn't say that she couldn't - quite the contrary. I was, however, wondering what the opinion is based upon - a quick tap in an Apple Store isn't really enough to form an opinion (at least not for me) and I was simply curious. Okay?

Sure, fair enough. But some people do form opinions quicker than others.

I find that if I don't like something straight off; there's a 95% chance that I'm never going to.

hehe fair enough :)

Oh and apologies to Cassie if my reply came over with the wrong 'attitude' (having just re-read it, I phrased it badly). I didn't mean it to be challenging, was just curious :)

I actually find the MacBook Pro keyboard to feel cheaper than my four-and-a-half year old 12" PowerBook keyboard, even though they are both of the same design. But I do like the MacBook keyboard very much. Anyway, it seems likely that the MacBook Pro will get a MacBook style keyboard in about 18 days anyway.

The Macbook keys are unusual, but I already prefer them over traditional keyboards now. They feel less intrusive, and occupy less of my finger space when I hover over them. I like.

i might buy one of those new apple keyboards

I use the new aluminium wired keyboard with my PowerBook.

At first, I was a skeptical that it was more of a gimmick due to the keys resembling those on a MacBook. However having used it now for a couple of months, I'm actually quite impressed with it.

I like MBP keyboard. And it does NOT feel cheap, at least when I compare to Vaio, Dell keyboards. But anyway I usually use bluetooth Apple keyboard and have to say that feels even better and I type faster than on MBP keyboard

I've owned both. The MBP keyboard feels way more sturdy and professional than the flimsy keys on the MacBook, in my opinion.

Hmmmm

Has anybody noticed a difference between the aluminum powerbook keyboards and the macbook pro keyboards? I know they SHOULD be the same, but since I have only owned powerbooks (saving my pennies to upgrade), I have no idea.

That being said...the powerbook's keyboard (i've own all three sizes) is by FAR the most comfortable, responsive and quick keyboard I've ever used. It feels as though I'm using a touchscreen sometimes.

Anyone have any thoughts?
