Sprint always makes me laugh. I used to love ripping them at HoFo until I finally left them. With GSM carriers loop holes are all over the place. Sprint was shielded from many loop holes because the nature of their network did not allow unlocked devices on it. I bought a 5s from Virgin Mobile almost 2 years ago and did the unlock. Fast forward I unlocked 2 SE's of theirs along with hundreds/thousands of others doing the same?

On a side note traveling with a friend in western PA last week and sure enough he had no signal. How's that fortifying of their network coming along? All smoke and mirrors...

You may have waited a bit too long.

At some point Boost realized people were buying the phones and getting them unlocked. Initially people in the Sprint reddit were reporting that the system was having difficulty processing unlocks (Boost uses Sprint's unlock system) and because of that the price of third party unlocks started climbing.

Now it seems it's either very expensive or not being offered. You may be able to find somebody, but I doubt it will be cheap.

I just realized on swiftunlocks that they no longer offer the Boost/Sprint unlock for the SE. I'm still waiting for my SE I ordered a month ago to be unlocked (order status still says "in progress" but I don't have much hope).

And here I thought Boost/Sprint weren't that smart and wouldn't catch on.

I think Boost caught on.

Activations≠Sales

And then I think they brought it up to Sprint which put the brakes on things.

Less people working for Boost then there are Sprint too. As I said earlier, it probably just got too hot to risk.

Hi, I bought the iPhone SE for 170$ including taxes. I bought it in August. I have tried to unlock it since then. First I tried to unlock it with cellunlocker for $49.99 (http://www.cellunlocker.net/apple-iphone-unlock-solution.php) ( they have removed the service now) It took 1 month and they told they couldn’t unlock it and refunded my money. Then I tried on eBay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/USA-Virgin...519653?hash=item4d3e3ac0e5:g:qMcAAOSwdU1W9ZW0) (It is removed now) and they too can’t unlock it and refunded my 59.99$. Now I am going to try to unlock it with Swiftunlocks. It costs 99.99$ but hope it unlocks my iPhone SE. I have a little confusion which website is the one (1) https://www.swiftunlocks.com/unlock/sprint-premium or (2) http://www.swiftunlock.com/boost-factory-unlock-premium-service-usa-iphone-7-7-6s-se/

Swiftunlocks is legit. They recently unlocked an AT&T pre-paid SE that I purchased from Best Buy. Just be patient with them as it does take time depending on the orders they have pending (although AT&T unlock was done in 3 business days).

How much did the unlock cost? And what is the cost of the SE you bought from Best Buy? Thanks

$150 from Best Buy - https://www.bestbuy.com/site/at-t-p...cell-phone-space-gray/5792701.p?skuId=5792701

$85 to unlock the phone via Swiftunlocks - http://swiftunlocks.com/unlock/at-t-iphone-premium-100-service

$235 total all in saves you $114 over buying it through a carrier or Apple.

Thanks for replying. That is a Great price. Mine costed $170 for iPhone 32 gig from boost mobile - https://www.boostmobile.com/?INTNAV=TopNav:iPhone#!/shop/phones/apple-iphone-se/features/Gold,32GB/ for unlock $100 - https://www.swiftunlocks.com/unlock/sprint-premium
Totally $270. You got the better deal .
[doublepost=1509617971][/doublepost]!!!Notice!!! The iPhone SE 16gig is $99.99. The iPhone SE 32gig and 64gig are priced same. I didn’t notice this.

I am also in the same boat. Bought my SE from Boost in July and tried couple of unlocking services. They did not work.
May i know whats your imei status.. mine is showing up as unpaid bills. And also do let me know if the swift unlocks worked for you.

has anyone successfully unlocked a prepaid SE for tmobile? I'm reading mixed things on Boost/Straight Talk phones whereas AT&T prepaid is an easier carrier to unlock from.

Hi,
Very sorry for the late reply. Swiftunlocks couldn’t unlock my iPhone. They told due to suppliers issues they couldn’t unlock. They didn’t even process the unlock. I don’t know what to do now. There are two choices either use a Unlock card ( https://shop.doctorsim.com/product/unlockmysim-sticker-card/?lang=en&cur=USD) or try from another site (https://www.unlockriver.com/) Please tell me your status.
[doublepost=1511964679][/doublepost]Oh I forgot to tell my imei status is clean

Dont bother with those hardware sim adaptor unlocks.
Just hang in there and look for IMEI unlocks.
Their supplier might be down now but in a few weeks they might be able to process unlocks again. Their network unlocks and prices vary and change often so you'll find someone.
Keep an eye on ebay also for IMEI unlocks.

Does Boost iPhones have an "international unlock" profile like Sprint and Virgin Mobile does? I don't need the domestic unlock.

I figured since on the backend it's all Sprint, the unlock profiles available at Apple must be the same? (multi-mode unlock, international unlock, locked)

Just checked swift again, and still out of stock...any word n when it will be back up?
When they find a new contact inside Boost or Sprint that is willing to put their job on the line by submitting unauthorized unlock requests is when it will come back.

Sprint has been cracking down on this and suing former employees. Additionally, the computer systems have been given additional security so that it's much harder to insert unauthorized code to gain access to unlocking.
