These are some good tips. I’ve had this issue for a long time. Most times when using while charging but sometimes when not charging as well. Either way, very annoying. So far I’ve just tried the Touch Accommodations disabling and disabling Send iPad Analytics. Time will tell if these are permanent fixes.

Definitely an hardware issue. iPad Pro 10.5

This happen when ;
- battery get low
- plug in and charging
- multi tasking, too many windows or tab open

when this happen, if I tap with the finger very hard on the screen in a couple of places, the problem stop.
or touch the frame to get grounding
or squeeze the frame a little bit
than the issue go away for some time.....until it happen again.

Agree, hardware issue for me. If i flex the device I can sometimes have it clear up for a while. Device charge status is irrelevant for me although it is more prevalent when being charged (i can only assume heat affects any loose internal connection that is associated with the issue).

I think it’s a problem with the accelerometer, if your screen becomes unresponsive just slowly rotate your hands so the top of the screen rotates towards you or backward.
you don’t need to do this a lot just enough to change the orientation of the screen.

That’s what I do when the screen freezes and it works every time, but still, it’s a malfunctioning device.
