might be a sign how much more expensive the next 13 inch iPad Pro will be. fit in a cheaper 12.9 air to make up for it

We're really limited by a lame iPadOS that is still meant mostly to run on a phone and not a device with a keyboard and mouse to do real work.
I think that's mostly to do with the switch from Objective-C to Swift and the virtual merging of UIKit with AppKit (& WatchKit) which threw a monkey wrench into the evolution of iPadOS over the past 5 years

Apple, like every other developer, is slowly rewriting their macOS apps to work on macOS and iPadOS, so at every WWDC we'll see Mac apps and iPad apps become more and more alike, to the point they're largely indistinguishable

5 years ago it would've been very difficult to bring Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro to iPad, but Apple did it this year

Now imagine the core OS apps like Photos, Finder, & gasp Terminal being the same on Macs & iPads. Swift Playgrounds already is.

Yeah I'll be watching this I was going to get the newest iPad Pro when it was released but if they really end up jacking the price up on it, I dunno probably this?

All of the rumors I have read about seem to indicate the Airs will come before the end of March and the Pros later in the year. Now, there’s no way of telling if this is accurate. But that’s what I’ve read on this site and others.
