I know this is labeled ladies only but hoping to get some honest fashion advise from the ladies here. Want to surprise my wife with an Apple Watch as she has been making comments about mine and her curiosity is rising. I've been playing it very cool but have been waiting for the price sale again which has come from BB.

In your opinions do you feel the rose gold color is pretty flexible with attire and wardrobe mixes or is it safe to go plain gold or silver aluminum. She has the lavender silicon case on her 6s and loves that color so was thinking the rose gold and lavender band would be nice for her.

As a lady what helped you decide which color to go with to offer the most flexibility for you? Thanks for any suggestions!

You're a keeper for sure! And guys do come and post here for the same reason as you. I only have a SS AW and find that it goes well with most bands, some better than others. I am attracted to other case colors too but they weren't available when I got my watch. Much tougher choice now. BTW Apple just put up an interactive guide to choosing your watch/bands which you might find helpful.

I like to think I am but thank you ;)

I have been messing with that interactive chooser and it's a great tool. I am thinking sport for her as she isn't big into tech and a great lower price point but she is in the dental field and I fear the sport will get scratched up pretty easily.

She will be happy with any and would hate to have her choose and ruin the surprise but may be best in this case or at least return as needed.

Take a look at her clothing and seeing if you think what you are leaning towards would look good with the bulk of it. Otherwise, if you want to surprise her maybe buy her a band gift wrapped up, like the lavender one to go with her iPhone, and let her pick out a watch. I guess before you can even buy a band do you know what size watch she would want? If you have an Apple Store near you can set up an appointment (assume they are still doing that) and give her a card with the appoint info.

I will say I went in to my store thinking I knew what Band I wanted. Wasn't sure of the size. Went back and forth trying on both sizes, ended up with the SS instead of the sport I thought I'd get and totally changed the band I thought I would want. I am hard to buy for so that may be part of it , but given I had only had inexpensive fashion watches before it was a important decision to me given the dollar amount of the purchase. Sorry I'm not much help.

Yea I was pretty surprised by how good it looked, such a great deal too, 3 looks for $40 :)

Is that the Icarr brand? I ordered their coffee cuff for $40. I remember there was a teal-looking one for sale too. Wonder if this is what you have.

Those are great ideas and a big help from a ladies perspective.

She will definitely want 38mm as she has commented on mine being a tad too big if you will.

Torn between the gold and rose gold so I am going to go with gold as I think it is more flexible for her liking and then exchange as needed if she really loves the rose gold instead.

Also look at the jewelry she currently wears. If everything she owns is silver, then the gold is right out.

Don't forget, there are also a huge number of "covers" available now so that you can change the color of your watch bezel. You might worry less about your choice and get her a box of the covers.

OMG, I finally found the perfect (for me) pink sport band! The color is a gorgeous pale baby pink and SO much more pink than the Vintage Rose sport band (which I also love, but now kinda hate compared to the new pink. Lol.)

Of course, I also have Apple's light pink sport band coming today, but hey--a girl can never have too many pink bands, right? :p

OP will say that my experience with a silicone (oh so soft I thought) case would be great for my SS, it put micro scratches on it first hour on. The whole point of a cover was to prevent damage. I think the aluminum cases don't scratch like the SS ones do and if I recall your wife had a SS watch.

Jewerly color I agree with. I don't wear gold and don't care to mix metals although many do.

Part of the reason I had to go with the space black. I liked the look, but thought bands were limited (didn't know about 3rd party ones). Then found out about the durability (I wanted to wear cases too).

Not sure if you folks like Apple's new nylon bands, if you'd think they're "feminine" enough. I think they can be, and don't look as "manly" as most NATO style straps.

I've been eyeballing the pink one, and possibly the pearl. Loving the look of the pearl "in person" from the pics I've seen others post, but haven't seen any real-life pics of the pink yet.

Thank you for all that reply. I did some investigating and she has a nice mix of gold and silver in her jewelry box and I think for her work environment and her preference, the rose gold and lavender will be an excellent gift.

She loves her IP lavender silicon case so I am thinking she will love the combo that comes with the rose gold as well.

Has anyone heard from Jmona since 1/9/16? That's the last post I can find for her. I know she moved, but I was wondering about her health.
