I have had the same problems when playing squadron tower defense (multiplayer). I am nearly positive it is something on blizzards end. Probably with the last patch as stated earlier. Has anyone else noticed that these problems weren't there when they first started playing the game pre patch?

Of course it will, and not just on starcraft, but on any game I play. When I turn my settings up my ram is being used up entirely. I have on average 2.7 gb of FREE ram. If I upgrade to 8 gb i should have 6.7 gb to play with. RAM is extremely important for RTS's such Starcraft.

Starcraft 2 with my 15" MBP is NOT happening.
i have the 15'' i7 2.4 with 4GB RAM and the 6770M 1GB
i think those are the same specs as your machine.
did you have a chance to upgrade the RAM ?

Alright, I did upgrade my RAM, I am now sitting at 8GB, but I haven't had a chance to play Starcraft yet, I should be able to today or tomorrow and let you know. Just in general, before I upgraded, If I played games with less players, it would make a world of difference.
Just an update we took the computer to the apple store and they did stress testing on it. It passed them all so we are going to try and reinstall the whole OS and a fresh copy of starcraft. The last starcraft update did help a bit though. We just don't know why its just that one. We have a friend with the same macbook, same ram same processor same video card, and it runs just fine on his.
