Again, you are giving a biased opinion because you yourself do not own a MBP. And that statement honestly does not make much sense.

Another point: the additional screen real estate (either 15' or 17') of the MBP makes a big productivity difference when you're updating those course outlines or writing your first legal memorandums. People might counter that they can trade screen real estate for the MB's extra portability because they can just buy an external monitor, but you have to consider how much you really want to study in your apartment. You'll spend a good deal of time in the library in between classes and for many people, the library is a better place to study because you can take breaks and interact with people. It's not as direly solitary as studying alone in your apartment.
