Thanks for the belief. Just asked him. Got a vague answer over AIM

Me: hey! that picture got a lot of attention! Just one questions...

Him: Anything

Me: iPhone Staying on AT&T... Any verizon action?

Him: (wink)

and then he signed off.

sorry!

So he was insinuating that it would be on both carriers?
It would only make sense, I can't see Apple abandoning customers that do not want to switch to VZW.

He also failed to mention that for 1 day only all Happy Meal purchases at McDonald's will receive a free iPhone as their toy.

I call fake as it's pretty easy to just photoshop an image and make up a conversation.

In fact just the other day my cousin Steve Jobs and I were discussion how funny it is everyone thinks he's releasing a tablet tomorrow when really it's just
about the new partnership with Google and the Nexus phone.

Please try photo shopping an image like that.

iPhone Dev Site down

About the OP images... can't say if truth or fake, but, something interesting to add: I've just tried to logon to the developers' site and got this:

Maintenance? Or something else? ;)

Why would it need to be PhotoShopped? It's a web page, for crying out loud. I could make these changes to a downloaded copy of the page in 3 minutes using any text editor, open it in a browser, and screen cap it. I'd demonstrate it right now if I had a local copy of the page saved (since the site's currently down, I can't).

Like I said... My uncle is very high in the Apple Chain. His content is much different than mine and yours.

Having worked at Apple, this is certainly the case with many areas of apple.com inside the Apple network.

Go to apple.com/support behind the Apple firewall, and you can see all the internal/confidential support documents alongside the regular ones. Go to the discussion forums and it says "Welcome Apple Employee!",etc.

So I don't know if you're legit but it is certainly possible that this is real.

The images I posted could not have been tampered by downloading the html because the link you see above is the real link as apposed to the link you would see when you open an HTML file with Safari.

No? Well, I have irrefutable proof that Apple has decided to skip the 4.0 version of their OS and go directly to 5.0. You will note the web address in the URL field. If anyone is interested in the original .tiff capture, I can post that, too.

I see no reference to iPhone OS 5.0

Only SDK 5.0

Fair enough. The point is that I could just as easily have put in the link for OS 5.0 beta, because html is 100% fakeable. I could make the page say anything I wanted. And to hide that it's a local file, all I'd have to do is copy-paste the real url into my browser after I loaded the local file.

Have you tried Javascript?

Go to that webpage, put this on the URL field and see what happens.

javascript:document.body.contentEditable='true'; document.designMode='on'; void 0

Sure it's true, because it says so on the screenshot!

Edit: I should've read the whole thread, someone beat me to it. Anyway OP thanks for the laugh and photoshop for a text web page?? How old are you?

Bingo. That's these pics are not photoshopped, but not real either. I mean a "high up uncle" whats a NDA to him right?
