I hate benchmarks. They are useless, other than to give us a general idea of how well a phone will perform. All I am doing is posting the link to the benchmarks. I'm not saying it is going to be better than phone X, Y or Z.
I will say now though, that this will be my next phone to replace my Nexus 4. Looks like it will run very smoothly.

Benchmark scores of KRS71D/KRS78L build: http://gfxbench.com/device.jsp?benchmark=gfx27&D=Google+Nexus+5&testgroup=overall
Comparison Benchmarks between Nexus 5 and iPhone 5S. I only post this to show that these prelim benchmarks show the Nexus 5 faster in some benchmarks and slower in others. And again, this means nothing. These are 2 different pieces of hardware on 2 different Operating Systems. The scores should be taken as a sign that both devices pack a punch in performance.

Interesting Nexus 5 info:
Codename: Hammerhead
Screen Res: 1794x1080
Max CPU freq: 2.3GHZ
