Been with Sprint for years, love them. They have the best rates, 4G is great and the Evo will be killer :)

i don't understand how people can be so negative to people on this thread. the OP's reason for posting is because he's frustrated with some of the negatives of the iPhone. Why can't we discuss those along with the positives without insulting each other? Seriously, some people are insecure, but it's not the OP.

Because he already made his decision....Why post a thread that he is leaving? Is he a celebrity or something?

Exactly,

If he wants to write about his departure, why post this on a mac forum. Why not write a blog.

Sounds like YOU'RE the one with daddy issues. What's the matter buddy, no hugs or parental love growing up? Or is it that you lack the self esteem and confidence so you build yourself up being an internet tough guy and we're all just fortunate enough to be here to witness it? You/you're post reek of the dork in the corner who got pushed around in high school so you developed a piss poor attitude towards people in general because you think your smarter then everyone but mostly because no one accepted you. Time to wash your 3 day old Metallica t-shirt soaked in sweat, mountain dew, and covered with whatever cheeto remnants that didn't end up on your mom's basement sofa.

Just my two cents, smart guy.

Wow I ruffled your feathers a bit yes? I must apologize if my post rubbed you the wrong way or insulted your life partner. I was not aware of of the relationship between you two, nor the hostility it would provoke from your deep care of the OP.

To further address your accusations, I would like to assure you I had enough parental love growing up, and yes I graduated in the top of my class. However, let me lay to rest your position that I believe I am smarter than anyone else. I would never assume I am smarter than anyone. Just look at history, some of the most brilliant discoveries came by some of the least brilliant minds. No, my attitude towards people is directly related to the way they present themselves, be it in an internet forum or in personal face to face acquaintances. Also, who would wear a Metallica T-shirt past 1992? I mean after "The Black Album" what have they done really? Mountain Dew has enough Yellow #5 in it to kill a whale. Those artificial colors and chemicals are extremely bad for you. I assume you would know that goes for the saturated fat and sodium content in Cheetos as well. It is deep fried cheese for God's sake. Oh and my mom doesn't have a basement. I do but oddly enough it does not have a couch. It does however, have several recliners to either watch a Blu-Ray or play Xbox.

HTC Evo seems like an awesome phone and $60 a month for unlimited everything @ sprint + 4G... it is pretty tempting

You may want to investigate that a little more. From what I have been reading, the 4G access is going to cost $40 per month and the Unlimited Everything plan may not apply to this phone. Could wind up being pretty expensive.

You're close, A LOT of these people are insecure. Why else would be a huge Android thread on an Apple site instead of getting lost on page 3 of an Android site like it should be?

Congrats

If Apple does not deliver this Summer

Then I suspect people will be jumping ship in droves

I have the 3G and my contract is up in July. I'm debating whether to continue with the iPhone or simply go back to a "standard" cell phone to change the $30/month for data.

Not sure what affect Apple releasing the next generation of the iPhone will make on this decission.

I do hope everybody realizes that the OP is totally full of crap.

1. e911 has been around for many, many years and is specifically covered in the terms of service. Even if OP somehow wasn't being charged for e911 it was flat out an AT&T error in his favor. There's no way that they would waive an ETF for e911.

2. Even if OP convinced retentions to waive his ETF for whatever reason, they don't just remove your contract and let you continue monthly service "to be nice". More likely scenario - the second agent was totally incompetent and looking at his upgrade eligibility date instead of the actual contract end date.
