Legacy device and iCloud Drive

Hi Folks,

I've got a Mac and iPad on the current OS versions, but my phone is still on iOS 5. They're all syncing contacts etc via iCloud, but now I have an app on Mac and iPad that requires iCloud Drive to sync. So before I enable it...

Does anyone have a definitive answer as to the compatibility in this situation?

Will my phone still sync contacts, calendars etc via iCloud

And the solution is that it continues to work OK - Calendar, contacts etc work as before.
