...I am pretty sure SlySoft has no plans to do a Mac version of AnyDVD...
This question has been asked a thousand times in the Slysoft forums and the two general responses are:
-"there will be no Mac version of AnyDVD" - which sucks, or
-"we have no plans to bring AnyDVD to the Mac
in its present incarnation" - which gives us hope

.
Anyway, with Micro Center offering previous generation Mac Mini's for $400 (after rebate) through April 12th, I'm considering making the jump to Blu-Ray ripping. The Mac Mini will only be a front end; the Mac Pro will do the ripping. This is what I hope to accomplish, and I'd just like to get a few things straight before I take the plunge:
1. on the Mac Pro, in Windows, rip the Blu-Ray using AnyDVD-HD. I'll be left with one big .m2ts file that contains all I need to play the disc (similar to an .iso of a DVD)
2. move that file from Windows over to OS X, into a folder called something like "Blu-Ray rips"
3. install Plex on the Mac Mini, which will be connected to my 1080p HDTV
4. the Mac Pro and the mac mini will be hard wired to my router and will see each other on the LAN
5. using the Mac Mini as a front end, load the .m2ts file in Plex and stream it from the Mac Pro to the Mac Mini and watch it on the HDTV
That's just a general outline, but in a nutshell, that's what I'd like to do. I'd lke some feedback from those who are already ripping blu-ray discs on the feasibility of this plan. Thanks.
