how about just showing gratitude for me posting it in teh first place instead of putting a negative spin on the fact i didin't provide a link.

Thanks, but I probably would have been better off not hearing about it. I don't really care about the issue. I just doubted that it was authentic, so I wanted to see an article link.

Who here thinks this news is about this?

Ha... I hope not.

Great timing too, especially from an AAPL perspective. The stock is rallying, presumably on the openness of the message and the to-the-point diagnosis that weary investors have been asking for.

I think its a real shame that Steve has decided to publicize his health reluctantly against his will. Why people have to speculate so much I've no idea. I hope, and it seems that this is becoming the case, people are starting to realize that things will go on after Steve Jobs - they will no doubt follow a different path but Jobs is so calculated and organized - who can doubt he will have the best interests and the best plan for apple when such a thing happens. I can't imagine how worried he and his family must have been when they couldn't find a diagnosis for so long. I just hope the problem is sorted now and we can all not be bothered about his health in relation to the company he CEO's!

Very sad to see Steve have to publish this kind of public status report on his health but I have to say I'm delighted he's on the road to recovery and wish him all the very best.

Now let's rally behind Phil Schiller and give him the proper support and encouragement for tomorrow's keynote. I'm sure he's had a few sleepless nights with the weight of everything that's been going on.

If I was Steve, I'd totally chub up for the WWDC keynote (if there is one), waddle on stage and shout "Are you happy now??"

An inflatable fat suit would be better. He should do his entire keynote wearing it.

I'm glad to see that Steve has decided to put his health and his family first, and I hope that he makes a full recovery. :)

I just recently had a pretty bad bought of the Norovirus and lost a lot of weight. I now feel like crap, point being, thats nothing as bad as Steve has had, for what has been a good while now, so I can imagine he aint feeling well at all, so am wishing him a full and speedy recovery.

I'm sure he could accomplish that by having whatever Phil has for lunch at Cupertino

But then Phil might end up skinny. Tough one.
