Just watched Flossy's unboxing video and am impressed.

Not sure about the top screen in real use but everything else seems present.

Personally, This phone checks all of my boxes....

Durability
Reliability
Micro SD card
Removeable battery
Fingerprint scanner

And goes above and beyond with a 16MP. Camera, duel front camera setup, and, finally the size!

I can't wait for this phone since I am due for a upgrade! Thought I was gonna get the G4 this summer but, that never happened because, last minute I decided to wait for this one!

The V10 proves that thin phones can still be durable (and not bend), thin, and still contain a removeable battery!
Its the only phone I'd feel is worth leaving my Note4...for.

The specs are near perfection.

OK but LG's skin rears its ugly head. :) Maybe worse than TW.

All UI's are usually a love hate relationship! At least with the LG G4 (and propally also the V10,) you can change some of the icons to better suit your style! [If worse comes to worse, a root always make things better ;) ]

Just picked up the LG V10 (Verizon variant) yesterday to replace my Note 4. After initial setup and getting Nova running on the phone, I have to say I am more than happy with this upgrade. No lag or stutter that my Note 4 was experiencing. The device flies in and out of menus and apps, and most importantly the multi task button once hit pulls up recent apps immediately as opposed to 2-3 Mississippi's. The secondary screen so far is nice, what I mainly use it for is recent apps, jumping in between apps is fast and effortless. I do have some minor light bleed from the second screen but not so much that it's unbearable. Speaking of the screen it is very sharp and not too saturated. I can answer further questions but just wanted to update this post. Just as a heads up, I was torn between this, Blackberry (not available yet), Nexus 6p (finger print scanner is nice, but the V10 ruggedness is in line with my life style), and I also contemplated the Droid Turbo 2, but prefer a large phone to have an equally large screen.

I have been looking at this phone as well. Thanks for the mini write up! :)
How have you found the camera compared to your Note 4?
How has the battery been for you compared to the Note 4?

Congrats on the new phone! :) Still planning on getting it pretty soon.

Anyways, how do you like the fingerprint scanner?
Can you customize the home screen icons on it?

The camera is much more crisp in picture quality, faster to launch the camera and process the image.

The only concern so far is the battery life, I only had 2:47 screen on time today before I had to charge it. I had everything on though and didn't have the screen set to auto dim.

As a bit of history before my Note 4 I had the Nexus 6, before that the moto x, before that the s4. I think I got used to Samsung's stutter or lag or whatever and now that I am away from that everything is just so fluid and quick to respond. For instance the dialer is quick to launch and close, multi task button actually works when I touch it, when I launch my contacts app, contact info and pictures render at the same time, where as on the Note the number would populate then the contact name and associated picture would load, it was super frustrating.

The finger print scanner so far is nice but there is room for improvement. The note 4's swipe finger print was so unreliable it never made it past day 2 for me, however with the V10 1 in 20 might not register. The only frustrating part is I have to push the power button to get it to wake before the finger print will scan, unlike the 6p that just reads it form the sleep state. My hope here is that marshmallow takes care of this fix (fingers crossed).

You can customize the home screen icons and the software buttons. However, I have already swapped back to Nova since it is what I am use to and it works flawlessly, and with as big as everything is with LG's skin it is kind of a waste or real estate.

Something else I have noticed is how fast it connects to my vehicle and I never have to force pair. Where as the Note 4 constantly would not pair with my 2015 Ram. The LG does so quickly and the trusted bluetooth makes it nice to unlock without a print or password.

So far my only gripe is the battery, but between the quick charge (0-100 in 65 min!) and getting a free spare battery in a few weeks, that shouldnt too much of a problem

The V10 is about the same size as the 6P and it has an extra screen. Disappointing Huawei and Google.
Yeah, the Nexus device isn't the place to go for gimmicks that no one needs. It's like the edge development for the S6 Edge. It's a big ho-hum. If someone finds the killer feature, Google might add it to its Nexus line later, but I doubt it.

Hey tegedrex....now that you have had the V10 for a while what are your thoughts? How has the battery been for you?

So.... Picked up the V10 on Thursday. I gotta say this is a very nice phone. It's a little heavy but not much more than my 6s+ if at all. The options and features are nice and it allows a lot of customization. The second screen is actually very useful. But it does have light bleed when the screen is off.
I love the double tap to wake.

I am quite surprised by the battery life. I have been getting about 6 hours SOT

Great phone, it smokes and I have nothing but good things to say about it.

App refreshes? Nope! Lag? Nope!

Congrats! :)

How's the UI speed in general and camera?
The UI speed is excellent so far no lag or slow down. The camera is almost up there with my Note 5 and 6s+.
The shutter speed is very fast! The overall speed and responsive is great! I love the double tap to wake and the second screen/window is actually very useful. It is nice to be able to glance at my phone and know the date and time without touching it. The second screen also shows notifications so i know if I have na email or text at a glance without touching my phone. Works the same as a notification light.

Its a heavy phone but not too heavy at all. The fit finish and build quality is top notch. I like the rounded side edges like my iphone.
The battery life so far has been impressive. I have been getting 5 to 6 hours SOT routinely so far.

The on/off screen button and volume buttons and fingerprint scanner on the back is hard for me to get used to tbh.
I don't mind the fingerprint scanner so much. But I don't know how many times now I have turned the volume way down trying to hit the screen button! :)

I ended up going back to the Note 5. I like the V10 and all it has to offer. The build quality and overall feel in the hand is very top notch. I liked the overall speed and responsiveness of the phone. The camera was very quick to focus and take great pictures. The LG skin is toned down but I use Nova anyway. The fingerprint scanner was very good.
The one thing I couldn't get past was the volume buttons and screen on/off buttons on the back.
But other than that it is a great phone! :)

Thank you for your thoughts, I am really considering the V10, just because I want a new phone (still using a OnePlus One).
As I like the buttons on the back, and the rest is good as you wrote and I saw on some reviews, I eventually will buy it when it will be available here...

If you have had other LG phones like the G4 or G3 then you will love the V10. It is a big step up from those phones.
I loved the second screen with the date and time always a glance away. The metal rolled side/edges are very nice in the hand as well. The V10 is a very nice phone.

Just say it man, nobody builds Phablets quite like Samsung does with the Note series ;)

Sounds like LG did a great job with the V10, my only concern is the GPU, its going to get outdated very fast as it is even less powerful than even the Snapdragon 805's GPU (Adreno 420).

I hope they make a V20 next year, that is just as beastly, the whole 64GB Internal mem with MicroSD Expansion plus 4GB RAM combo is just mouthwatering, especially around all these phones that don't even have MicroSD.

I did the opposite, kept the v10 and sold the Note 5.

Now I have a new toy coming, the Nexus 5x. The madness never ceases. :)
