Well it's July of 2019 and I've had the LG V40 since the end of January of this year after I purchased it from a seller on Offer Up for a new-in-the-box T-mobile version for more than half off the MSRP. During that time this underrated gem has made the transition to Pie. This phone is a great follow up to my beloved V20 and is to me the best device LG has produced to date. It is a functional, feature-filled and fun phone that offers a great user experience along with a camera/audio/video set up that elevates the mobile photography game to the next level. It does so many things and does them well. With bargains to be had, you would be hard pressed to find a device that offers more bang for the buck. So if you find yourself in need of a new device I would suggest you turn a deaf ear to the nay sayers and give this juggernaut of a device a look-see. You may come away as pleased as I am.

I have to echo the same experience with the V40. I love this phone. The only thing is mine did have an issue with the USB-C port that I could not solve which caused a "Tap to change USB connection" notification that could not be dismissed. I talked to Verizon and they honored the warranty. They sent me a certified "like new" replacement and if it was ever used I can't tell. The only indication is the lifetime call timer of about an hour and 30 minutes. So it was probably someone who returned within the 14 days. I figure after 8 months of use starting with a fresh phone isn't a bad thing.

Other then having to get a replacement I am still very satisfied with this phone. As the prices start coming down I would completely recommend it.

Well they finally pushed out Android 10 to all of the V40s in the US. I just got it from Verizon today. Very nice software update and runs well on the V40. I know this phone is sort of old news now, however you can get them pretty cheap now. It's a good Android phone if you need one and don't want to pay an arm and a leg.
