You can always buy the air (or other 'book) and decide later about the AC. From what I read, you have up to the 1 year after purchase to activate it...

See how you do with it, if you think it's getting banged around a bit more than you thought, might be worth getting. I, myself, would be concerned about the SSD's longevity. Every site tells you something different as far as life span...

I know there's always scams and all, but I bought AC off ebay many moons ago for my core solo (woo!) mini and never had any problems.
