Are people really this clumsy that they need a bulletproof case? I always laugh when I see people with cases like these. Free yourself from these silly cases!

For one, it's not bulletproof.

Alot of people would rather be safe than sorry, some people genuinely are clumsy and would rather not break their phones, and then there are the people who do work/recreational activities outdoors and like the peace of mind of not having to worry about dropping their phones, water damage, etc.

I myself work in a warehouse environment where it's dusty and dirty, and work outside during the winter so i like knowing my phone is safe. Personally i think Lifeproof has some of the least ugly tough case designs

Besides, it's not your phone, so don't worry about it, use what case you want.

My only complaint about the case which arrived on Friday is the charger slot only fits the cord that comes with the phone from Apple. All my car chargers dont work cause the head of the lighting cable is too big for the slot. Now I need to go out buy another apple lighting cord and a new adapter for the car for it to charge on the go.

This.

I do a bunch of field engineering work and these environments pose rather detrimental conditions for my expensive device. These cases aren't for everyone, but for those that need/want them. Also, this case helps to preserve the condition of my phone so that I can maximize my resale value.

One option to consider in the looks department is the Lunatik Aquatik case--looks very sleek and is waterproof (not sure about the drop protection).

this case does look great, should have at least equivalent drop protection to life proof, site claims
"Designed to meet or exceed IP68 technical specs and MIL-STD-810G drop test standards" Unfortunately seems it won't be shipping till April 2015 .

In the meantime good to hear that the screen on the fre is more fitted to the glass. Is the rainbow effect there for everyone? has Touch ID film remained the same kinda weird flimsy material?

You're right, don't know how I managed to overlook that :p Lunatik told its Indiegogo funders that their cases would be shipped January 2015, so I hope they adhere to that.

Unfortunately I think that rainbow effect will show up on every phone, unless the mentioned tricks are utilized. The same funky film is used for the home button and it's just as effective for me as the 5S version (mine worked about 90% of the time).

That's fine for urban cubicle dwellers whose phones never see an environment more harsh than their desk or a table at the nearest latte shop. My phone spends a lot of time in/near dirt, sand, dust and water. Bring your pretty iPhone with no case and see how long it lasts. Some of us live a more adventurous existence and those "silly cases" make sure that our phones last longer than a week.

I think they are going to miss out big by not coming out before the holidays. Most folks will probably just get a life proof and call it a day. It's hard to wait that long especially if you need that sort of case.

Also it's a long while to hold out and have it be a flop like last years model as well.

I have AppleCare for the first time on this iPhone. I usually use a nice simple case but when I went to Punta Cana two weeks ago I was wishing I had this case so I could have the phone at the beach and pool and feel safe. Sure, if I really broke it, Apple would cover it but I really didn't want to be without a phone (esp out of the country).

Apparently radio shack has the nuud case for the iPhone 6

http://www.radioshack.com/lifeproof--nuud-case-for-iphone-6-%28gray%29/55079823.html#.VHOJxyZOKnM

I called and they said they are sold out. I also called lifeproof and they didn't seem to know

Wonder if anyone else can confirm. Seems odd that radio shack gets first cracks at this.

I posted on LifeProofs Facebook page asking your very question and provided link. They kept deleting my post. Unsure why they wouldn't reply or private message me. Regardless, their customer service alone has me eyeing that Lunatik aquatic... I knew from the start with HUGE delay of LifeProof cases for i6 that maybe I didn't want to do business with that company. This just concreted me taking my $100 elsewhere. They're overpriced for what they are anyways.

Unfortunately they are the only game in town for this kind of case. Lunatik is a ways off and like I stated before, their last model had a bunch of issues so I am worried it's a waisted wait.

I guess I won't have one then, before I support such business practices with my wallet.

not sure why you would be mad a company for not discussing or speculating on a product that hasnt been release yet.

Clearly they are still ahead of all other companies when it comes to quality waterproof cases. I much rather have them release a product 3 months after the phone has been launched to make sure its good quality, instead of having them rush a product just to get a bad feedback.

Because their is an appropriate way to handle customer inquiries and ignoring them, isn't it. Obviously one of their Retailers has it listed on their website so no reason I should have to walk on eggshells about asking questions. If Lifeproof didn't want questions to be asked then they need to tell RadioShack to take info down. Problem is, it has been released 3 months after phone but at this point with no time to tell its being ASSUMED its quality. you handle customers by taking care of them, not ignoring them.

You're not a customer though, you don't own the product, you're inquiring about a product that hasn't been announced yet. Just because it's on Radio Shacks page doesn't mean anything, and if you're saying you inquired MULTIPLE times, i can understand why they deleted your posts. Safe to say you're not the only person asking about it, and they aren't going to answer every single inquiry about it.

And for the record, it's been just over 2 months since the new iPhones were released, not 3

Your right, I'm not a customer. But why run someone off before you even get their money? Lol I was probably only one that asked about RadioShack having it listed. Maybe they don't want to answer ever single inquiry about it but if everything wasn't hush hush they wouldn't run into that. I could careless if it's been two or three months. No other(few other reputable) case manufacturers ran into that problem. I'm sure that lifeproof had a mock up device or something as soon as everyone else did. It's all excuses. It's amazing how far we go, as customers, to promote and support poor customer service. You can call it what you want but I call it poor customer service. You'd think, as a business with intents to profit, they would be all for capturing customers before they spend their money elsewhere. Because that's exactly what I'm going to do. Nothing else to be said, my voice, among others voice, who have received poor customer relations from them will speak with their wallet. Will I make any difference? Absolutely not, however I won't stand by and support business that promote and allow horrible customer service.

I'm entitled to my opinion, as are you.

FedEx F'd up and forgot to put my package on the truck this morning, so no Lifeproof Monday...

I emailed asking for a refund on my overnight shipping. We'll see.

The white iPhone 6 fre case from is available!

Just got this email too ! But I wonder when these will be available at other online retailers, specifically Amazon. I get free two day shipping with prime and theres often discounted pricing on there , although, maybe only on black color ways. Trying to decide if I should continue the wait out it or just buy through lifeproof

If I recall from the iPhone 5 cases, there were a few iterations over the life of the case. Any of you plan on waiting a bit before purchasing the case? How long do you plan to wait?
