Light Bleeding on right upper screen.

I had bleeding of that light in the same spot lighting up the top right corner making it look VERY uneven. Only happening in dark lit areas with the screen being black.....like you, very annoying when watching a video in the dark.

I went to the Apple Store had them look at it, the guy stated it should certainly not be that way and they swapped it out for me.

Everything with the new unit looked fine in the store. Got home last night, played around with the video at night....waddaya know, light bleeding in the same spot, not as bad as the first one....but it has a twin brother below it so I get that little spotlight on the top AND bottom bar in videos

The thing that concerns me this time is the area where it is bleeding on the screen feels very warm to the touch in those sections....rest of the screen is fine.

Well, the time is now to exchange it if you have a dead pixel or light bleed issues because I'm sure as more of these "problems" are reported the Apple Store exchange policy may change and say its a common occurrence and not considered a problem.. so, take advantage while you can...

Hmmm I have not noticed as bad on my new unit but some does appear. Not nearly as bad however. Wondering if it would show as bad if screen was full during video playback instead of black

Does this count? Lo res photo, I know, but look at the bottom right corner. Very annoying when I'm watching a movie. What do you think?

I know this thread was from a bit ago, but just wanted to update to say that I am having the same problem with mine. I went to Apple today to have them check it out and they told me it is "normal." They compared mine to a demo unit they had in the back in the dark. They said that mine was actually not as bad as the demo unit. Did not exchange it for me.

Mine looks pretty much identical to the one picture above.

This problem is absolutely minor, and from the first set of picks there seems to be little difference.

so who bleeding cares.

If the ipad didn't have this problem people would find some else to whinge about.

My 3G is bleeding light in all 4 corners, and along the sides. Distracting in movies, and also makes white webpages have yellowing in those spots. Taking it to the closest apple store for a fix/replace.

I have it too (iPad 3G 64GB). I have a Genius appointment today in about 2 hours.

They exchanged it - no trouble whatsoever. But, mine was pretty severe - the entire left side was bleeding through. This is definitely an issue. How widespread it is I'm not sure but if you have a severe case like mine - I wouldn't hesitate in trying to make an exchange.

I had the exact same thing, with the light bleed on the right upper corner when holding vertically. I made an appointment today with the Apple Genius. Said he saw the bleed, shouldn't be there, and gave me a new one on the spot. Even changed out my screen protector for me which was great!

The new one works like a champ. No bleeding what so ever and it looks great! Glad I took the time to do an exchange.

I'm having the same problem as well. I went today to the store to replace but they were all sold out :/. I'm gonna call AppleCare to make sure I can get a. NEW replacement.. Seeing as I only have 12 days left to return.. And hope they have a replacement for me with in that time frame.
